Hosting a Minions Party with Bounty

Bounty with Despicable Me 3 prints are in stores now for a limited time

This post is sponsored by Bounty.

In celebration of Despicable Me 3, now in theaters, Bounty has fun prints that feature the ever-mischievous Minions and more!
They’re available in Paper Towels and Quilted Napkins and pop with color and are just plain fun and perfect for day to day or an upcoming birthday party!

Our kitten kept photobombing the pictures!

To celebrate all things Minion, we organizedΒ a Despicable Me 3 party with two yummy recipes (see below). Β Things got a little messy in the kitchen while making our Minion Frozen Banana Bites but luckily Bounty was there to help. Β What I love about these fun prints is it makes clean-up easy but also the kids like to help out. Β When my daughter spilled some melted chocolate on the counter she is the one who grabbed a Bounty with Despicable Me 3 print paper towel and picked up after herself. Β Moms! That alone is reason to buy these. Β Just kidding, but part of getting the kids to help more around the house I think starts with making it feel less like a chore and more along the lines of doing their part as part of the family. Β Picking up with these silly paper towels definitely helped me to get her to help out! Β Who doesn’t love Jerry, Mel or Dave?!

If you love all things Minions and thinking about hosting a Despicable Me 3-themed partyΒ we’ve got some fun ideas for you! What I like about these party tips areΒ that they are gender neutral! Β You can mix and match like we did and have hints of Agnes and unicorns throughout. Β Plus the Bounty with Despicable Me 3 print Β work perfectly with this theme! Β So let’s get started friends! Β Just be sure to have some towels nearby as things can (and do get messy) in the kitchen.

BA-NA-NA!

Minions Frozen BA-NA-NA Treats

One of my all-time favorite treats are frozen bananas so we decided to make our own. Β This is a super easy recipe and the kids will love helping out with this one for sure! Β What’s not to love?! They are made with chocolate, bananas, sprinkles and chopped peanuts (if you anyone has a peanut allergy best to skip this topping).

You will need:

Several bananas. Each banana makes about three pieces. Β Buy accordingly

Dark Chocolate or Milk – your preference

Sprinkles

Peanuts – chopped

Paper straws

Bounty with Despicable Me 3 prints Paper TowelsΒ nearby!

Follow the instructions for heating the chocolate. Β We don’t have a microwave so I put the chocolate into a metal bowl and heat over boiling water. Β This is something a parent should do of course!

Cut the bananas into three pieces. Β I cut them so that the bottoms were flat on the surface so they would sit upright. Β Take those pieces and one by one put them into the melted chocolate. Β Use a fork to turn it over and then take out and put on a paper plate.

Cut the paper straws in half and stick into the banana. Β Have your dipping section ready to go for the kids!

Have them place the banana on a paper plate and dip away! Β My daughter grabbed some and just started sprinkling to her hearts desire. Β This is a fun recipe to do with them because they can mix and match as they like. Β I’ve always been a sucker for peanut-covered frozen bananas so I managed to get a couple of those made.

Again, depending on how many people you have coming over (or just for the family!) I would say each person will probably want about three pieces (a banana a piece).

We found Agnes at our local craft store.

Place them in some colorful containers (we used green cupcake holders) place on a cake stand or tray and you are set! Β SUPER easy and just plain cute!

Jerry helped out!

Clean up was made a whole lot more interesting with the Bounty with Despicable Me 3 print! Β Let’s just say my daughter isn’t one to want to help out with the mess but she didn’t mind with this guy. Β One of my favorite things about these paper towels is that you can choose what size you want. Β It comes in the one sheet (see above) size on up. Β Perfect for those little jobs that don’t require a whole paper towel or for little hands (Yay for helpers!).

Homemade lemonade is the best summer drink!

Minions LemonadeΒ

I’ve always wanted to make homemade lemonade and this party provided the perfect opportunity to try it out. Β My daughter LOVES lemonade so I am surprised I hadn’t attempted this before! Β It is super easy and of course tastes much better than store bought.

You will need:

4-6 lemons

1 cup granulated sugar

1 cup water

4-5 cups plain filtered water

Directions:

Heat up the sugar and cup of water in a saucepan. Stir occasionally until it turns into a sugar syrup (about 5 to 10 minutes).

Juice 4 to 6 lemons and make sure to take out any seeds

Place the lemon juice along with the sugar syrup into a container. Β If you are using a glass container I would put the 5 cups of cold water into the saucepan before to help cool the syrup down. Β Cut some slices of lemon to place on the sides and top, add some ice and that is it! Β Be sure to mix it all around inside the pitcher beforehand. Β You can adjust accordingly as well. If you prefer it a little sweeter you can add more sugar. Just be sure to heat it up with some water so it dissolves properly. Enjoy!

We sliced half of a lemon piece and placed on the glass jars along with a paper straw. Β These are simple ideas but pretty darn cute if I don’t say so myself!

More Party Tips:

Paper Fans:

I adore paper fans because they add so much to any type of party! Β I found these at our local discount store and like the colors and patterns. Β Just hang them on a wall using a pushpins. Β They do the trick and don’t really leave a mark on the walls when you take them down.

Balloons:

By now you know my obsession with balloons. Β A pretty inexpensive way to bring pops of color into a party.

Flowers:

Place some fresh flowers in a mason jar and you are set!

Unicorn Popcorn

Popcorn is always enjoyed at a party don’t you think? Β You can place them in little gift bags or the popcorn bags you find at your local grocery store.

Unicorn Hats:

I found these little paper party hats at our local craft store.

Fruit Tray

I like to put fruit out at all of our parties to encourage a balance of treats and healthy foods. Β Besides, I find the parents seem to appreciate it as well and tend to always gather around the vegetable and fruit trays.

Cake or Cupcake Toppers

These can be used for other things than decorating cake or cupcakes! Β I placed a couple in the Minions Frozen Banana Bites and even inside a mason jar filled with paper straws.

You all know I am big on simple – yet cute ideas and all of these are totally manageable and won’t take a ton of time to organize for your Minion’s party!

Continue the celebration by making plans to see Despicable Me 3 in theaters now. The film is rated PG and perfect for the whole family.

Enjoy friends!

Β Have a wonderful Minions party and don’t forget to pick up Bounty Fun Prints at your local grocery store.
