PBS KIDS WILD KRATTS “LOST AT SEA” SCIENCE SPECIAL Premieres January 21st
When my daughter was about three years old we started to watch the Wild Kratts brothers. She really enjoyed learning about the animals and sea creatures they would feature and I liked that the show was fun and educational. Now PBS KIDS’ is premiering a new science special featuring the Kratt brothers called WILD KRATTS “Lost at Sea,” that will premiere Monday, January 21st and the on-air special will be available on DVD starting January 22nd.
The first episoide kicks off with the Kratts heading to the most populated and diverse habitat on Earth — the coral reef — in “Blowfish Blowout.” Then the Wild Kratts decode the secret language of dolphins, among the smartest creatures on Earth, in “Speaking Dolphinese.” The shows are quite educational and we learned a lot about blowfish and dolphins. Two of my daughters favorite sea creatures! It was fascinating to see why they are called blowfish and why they blow water on the sand (to find crabs and other crustacean creatures). You will get lost in the hustle and bustle of the habitat of the coral reef and learn important science concepts along the way.
We really enjoyed watching the show and seeing the Kratt brothers in action as they make an appearance at the beginning and end of each show. These two are quite dynamic and make learning about animals and sea creatures fun.
The one-hour science special premieres on Monday, January 21, on PBS KIDS (check local listings).

WOW! How awesome to see it before anyone else! My son would be jealous!!! We love the Kratt brothers and we love that they focus on animals and getting people out there familiar with them. We can’t wait to see it! We don’t have cable so PBS is a main channel in our house…which doesn’t bother us at all, especially with this show! Thanks for giving the heads-up on it!
