Ruby’s Studio: The Friendship Show
The Mother Company and Ruby’s Studio was started by two friends, Abbie Schiller and Samantha Kurtzman-Counter who both have a background in television. They wanted to create a slower-paced and educational program for children that would focus on topics such as emotional literacy. With award winning Ruby’s studio we find adorable Ruby talking to groups of children about various topics. They described Ruby’s Show as a mix between Mr. Rogers meets Mary Poppins. Ruby has such a magical way to interact and speak to children that my daughter immediately responded to the show.
In their newest release “The Friendship Show” they talk about the importance of friendship using adorable animated segments, art projects and inspired original music. Their shows help to engage young children as well as serve as a helpful educational tool for parents and educators. I know my six year old really enjoyed their book and app A Little Book About Feelings and we use that from time to time to talk more about her feelings.
The Mother Company consults with world-renowned parenting experts to develop the curriculum for their shows. In “The Friendship Show” we find many social and emotional benefits for children that teach them about how to strengthen friendships through empathy. They also offer tools that children can utilize to resolve conflict and how best to handle bullying, and Ruby talks about the importance of The Golden Rule. To learn about friendship and how we should treat others is such a vital life lesson. I think it is wonderful that they are providing such a fun way to teach children about this topic!
With a curriculum guided by world-renowned parenting experts, “The Friendship Show” offers numerous social and emotional benefits for young children, including strengthening friendships through empathy, providing with tools to resolve conflict and confront bullying, and exploring the importance of The Golden Rule.
The Mother Company has provided us with two DVD’s for recently released Ruby’s Studio “The Friendship Show” valued at $16.99. Good luck dandelion moms!
