Decor :: Mantle Design Ideas for Fall

We have a narrow mantle over our fireplace but I love to decorate it each season.  This year I want to try something different and found some really great ideas via Pinterest.  I love how many of these ideas use items that you already have in your house and/or garden.  Like the beautiful autumn leaves or pinecones you can pick up on your next nature walk with the kids!  Enjoy these gorgeous décor ideas and share with us your mantle decorations!

Pumpkin Rainbow:

This blogger from Poetic Home uses such a gorgeous mix of pumpkins!  I love how each of them are a different color and shape.  You can find a variety of pumpkins (and squash) at your local pumpkin patch or even grocery store as many carry these varieties now!  To read more go to:

Easy Fall Decorating Ideas:

This mantle idea just might be my favorite of all the ones I found because it is so unique yet fits in with the fall colors.  I love the unusual plant growing out of the vase and the simple banner going across the mantle.  This design would surely keep your guests intrigued this holiday season!  To read more go to: https://www.thenester.com/2012/09/easyfalldecoratingideas.html/dsc_0197-30

 Autumn Inspiration:

This mantle décor comes View Along The Way and she uses green apples to give a pop of color as well as orange pears.  I love that she uses items from nature to create this colorful mantle design.  You can read more at:

 Using What You’ve Got:

This mantle creation comes from The Lettered Cottage and also uses items you can find around your house or during your next nature hike.  My daughter and I were walking back from a hike the other day and found the most magnificent black feather just laying on the street.  It was huge and I have no idea what type of bird it came from but is deserves to be a centerpiece much like the feathers she uses in this display.  And I love the idea of filling up a fun ceramic pot you might have around the house with pinecones.  To read more go to: https://theletteredcottage.net/autumn-fall-ideas-giveaway/

With a touch of Halloween thrown in:

Blogger Left Brain and Right Brain uses items she found around her house to create a mantle display that has a touch of Halloween thrown in.  You can replace the Halloween items if you want to with a large pinecone or even vase with a maple leaf tree branch as the display like this:

 Simple Yet Colorful:

I like this design as well because you can use it all season long because the colors fit into wintertime.  This is a very simple and clean look and would look great in any modern-style home.  To read more go to:
