Dwell :: Glideware Helps Organize Your Kitchen

We live in a home in an area we absolutely love as the schools in our district are amazing and we are centrally located to some great shops, parks and pools.  But sometimes, I do get house envy when I go to my friends houses who live in another city who get more house for their buck.  I love mid-century ranch style homes and hope someday to purchase one when my daughter goes off to college.  In the meantime, I have to find ways to maximize my space in the house and the kitchen is one of my main challenges. Our house was built in the 1980’s and the way they designed the kitchen cabinets is lacking to say the least.  We call the two areas next to our stove the “Black Hole” and it is very unfunctional and hard to get anything in or out of that area.  My pots and pans take a beating as I am constantly shoving them back into the black hole of a cabinet.

Glideware to the Rescue!

That is why when I came across this pretty cool invention that a husband and wife teamed up to develop – I wanted to let people know about it and join in if they want.  Glideware not only helps to organize your pots and pans, but by keeping them off of each other and from other items you might have, helps to extend the life of the pots.  Many couples received a nice set as a wedding set so we want to keep them in good shape for years to come!

Here is what the creators, David and Jenny Hall from Grand Junction, Colorado have to say about what makes their invention unique:

Glideware is a revolutionary kitchen organizing device that allows you to hang your pots and pans inside of your cabinet and display them only when YOU want to. This patent pending accessory improves accessibility, organizes your cabinets and extends your Ware.

THE STORY:

It began with a problem that we all share.  We were tired of digging around and unloading an entire cabinet of pans just to get to the one we needed.  We were not satisfied with the options that were available; hanging them in the middle of our kitchen or stacking them in a pull out drawer.  So we began working on the solution and came up with something that far exceeded our expectations.  Not only did we solve the storage problem while keeping our cookware out of sight, we created an accessory that makes the cookware completely accessible to everyone, organizes the cabinet and extends the life of your cookware.

NOT JUST FOR COOKWARE…GLIDEWARE-EVERYWHERE!

I really like that you can use the Glideware anywhere in the house that you might need to organize household items such as:

  • Great for your pantry storage—hang your broom, mop, dustpan, and aprons out of sight
  • Neatly organize your closet by hanging ties, belts, scarves, and handbags
  • Clean up your shop and garage by hanging oddly shaped tools, gardening items, and hardware
  • Be creative and come up with your own solutions to your organizing challenges
