Fashion :: Dreaming of Fall

So… I just read a post on facebook from my cousin who lives in Chicago. “61 degrees and having a pumpkin spice latte!” “Whatever.” I wanted to write back. Because back here is Southern California, we are experienceing a major heat wave with an unusual partner for a desert climate…humidity! But the calendar says that fall is on its way and sweaters, jackets, boots and corduroy pants are filling up the stores. As I walk into the absolutely freezing but delicious air-conditioning in a store, I can feel an urge to buy a sweater come upon me despite the sweltering heat outside. I really think the retailers have the stores cold to make you want to put on a sweater while browsing. Works for me. In spite of the fact that most of the country won’t see true sweater weather for a few more weeks (we all know the term Indian Summer?) even my cousin sipping her pumpkin spice latte, I thought it would be a good idea to share some transitional fall items to freshen up our wardrobe , even if it is a change in jewelry while the temps are still not that cool. I still can’t help but talk about sweaters and a few boots. A girl can dream? Dreaming of fall.

Kissing fox sweater Ann Taylor. This is seriously so cute(at least I think so)! Don’t be afraid of the white jeans after labor day. Perhaps I will over come my fear of that and do so this fall.
