Wickedly Fun Halloween Party Ideas

Every year since my daughter was about two years old we have hosted the neighborhood Halloween party.  And each year my daughter and I are looking for some new ideas for decorating our front lawn and party table.  She is quite the character and has been drawn to the sparkly skeleton heads found at Target the past few years so we do have an overabundance of skulls and bones! We set up a section reserved just for these spooky things but I wanted to find some new ideas that we can include in this years pot-luck party that both young and old can enjoy.  We found some spooky and not so spooky DIY ideas that will surely be a hit at the party!

 A Young Frankenstein Party:

Love this idea from Three Little Monkey’s Studio!  She has some really great ideas and you can even download the High Voltage sign if you want to try out this type of party.  To read more about what props she used and how to make these treats go to Three Little Monkeys Studio.

Spooky Googly Eyes:

Emily Recommends offers some fun ways to incoroporate Halloween candy to your display table.  I told my daughter about the hollow frog eyes this morning on the way to school and she can’t wait to try these out at the party!  To read more of Emily’s ideas go to Emily Recommends.

Slimy Brains and Guts!

As the kids get older you can incorporate these types of props for the party.  This year we plan to add a couple of these jars to entertain the kids!  She uses cauliflower and orange food dye for the brains and linguni pasta and pink dye for the guts.  To read more go to Bright Settings.

Fun Seating Area Ideas:

This idea comes from Blog Lovin as well and I love how she uses burlap over bundles of hay as a seating area.  We have some old burlaps that we used for a potato sack race at my daughter’s 4th birthday party.  I plan to use these for a more vintage style party this year!  To read more go to Blog Lovin.

Vintage Zombie Party:

For all you zombie fans – this party idea is just too fun!  I love the eye treats and hands sticking out of the cupcakes!  This would actually be easier than it looks to put together – especially if you have some black plates or tablecloths from last years party.  To read more on how to put on a zombie party go to Spaceships and Laser Beams.

 A Spider’s Lover Delight

Ha!  I think the only people who like spiders are little kids!  But each year we use this white webbing on our garage port and take our spooky Halloween pictures of each little goblin.  I usually get my spiders from Marshall’s or other discounted retailers.  They would be great hanging from a nest in the corner of your house or outside area.  To see some more ideas go to Hobby Lobby.
