Fabulous Homemade Holiday Gift Ideas

With the holidays approaching it can get stressful sticking to a budget.  But there is no need to overspend if you just take some time out to plan what each person in your immediate family and any friends, teachers, coworkers, etc., might like for the holidays and see about making something for them.  I always think a nice homemade gift – especially one that I use – is always a nice treat!  Check out these fabulous DIY Holiday Gift Ideas and there just might be something that strikes your fancy!  I plan to make the bark candle personally, but love all of these ideas.  Enjoy!

 

 

 

 

Homemade Hot Chocolate (with a twist)

This cute idea was found on Pinterest.  You could purchase some natural hot cocoa at your local Natural Foods Store, along with “healthier” (is there such a thing?) of marshmallows (no high fructose syrup) and present it with a small bottle of Kahlua if you want.  This makes a great neighborly gift, or a hostess gift, or even for your kids teacher (minus the Kahlua probably).  To read how to make homemade hot chocolate go My Recipes.com.  Image found on Pinterest.

 

 

Mini Bread Loaves:

The Perfect Centerpiece:

I like how they used greenery from outside to make this rather festive centerpiece that would make a great gift for just about anyone.  You can check out your local antique shop or second-hand store for a vintage-style plate, tie some Muslim cloth around the bottom of it, get an inexpensive candle and glass vase at Target and you are good to go!  Found this idea at Digs Digs that lists over 76 Scandinavian Christmas Decorating Ideas that are just wonderful.  I love the whole Scandinavian look and fell in love with so many of their ideas.  Read more here.

 

 

 

 

A Nature-Inspired Gift:
