Live Music at The Gypsy Den in Santa Ana January 17th

By Molly Murphy

As a musician, I’m always on the look out for down to earth, fun music venues, and I was thrilled to find The Gypsy Den in Santa Ana, California. Zagat calls it “Early attic decor and full of arty habitues,” and it is the perfect ambiance for my type of modern folk music. I just finished producing a solo album, “In This Hour” by A Million Creatures.  Putting myself out into the public and performing my original songs can make me feel so vulnerable and exposed. But the owners of The Gypsy Den are so supportive of musicians and the staff has been warm and inviting during the booking process, so I am nothing but excited to come and share my music with their customers.

There is nothing better than a Friday night full of live music, great food, and awesome vibes. This Friday night, January 17th, beginning at 8:00 PM, I will be performing at The Gypsy Den Grand Central Cafe at 125 No. Broadway Ave, Santa Ana, California (714-835-8840).

The venue is eclectic and bohemian beautiful and the food looks delish! (I’m looking forward to tasting their Quinoa Salad). My grandparents who live in Orange County (both foodies and atmosphere connoisseurs) had lunch at The Gypsy Den last week and had nothing but amazingly positive things to say about the food and the staff. In fact one of the new owners provided their table service and they said that she couldn’t have been nicer. Believe me, that is one stellar recommendation.

I’d love to have your friendly faces stop by Friday night to listen to some tunes and eat delicious food. I am excited to be playing along side another lovely folk musician, Catherine Rose Smith of Ghost in the Canyon.
