Fun Ideas for a Disney-themed Party!

Next week we are throwing a Disney Side party for some of my daughter’s friends.  I am really excited to be working with Disney and Mom Select on this campaign that encourages people of all ages to tap into their Disney Side.  You know the big kid that is inside all of us.  Just some of us need to be reminded to be goofy from time to time (or all the time if you have kids) and leave work behind and enjoy yourself!  Here are some fun ideas to incorporate into your own Disney-inspired party!  Just love the ideas people come up with – like the Mickey Mouse Oreo cookies by Made To Be A Mamma or the fun hats from Kara’s Party Ideas.  I am all about making things easy and these ideas a) won’t break the bank preparing and b) easy peezy lemon squeezy to make!  Enjoy yourselves and tap into that kid inside you!

Food and Beverages:

Mickey Mouse Sandwiches:

Love this idea – it is adorable and super easy to prepare.  And this way, the kids can make their sandwich to their liking!  Just get a Mickey Mouse cookie cutter and that’s it! And if you live by Walmart or Costco – make sure to check out their nitrate-free lunch meats.  Image found on Pinterest.

 Yummy Treats:

Using that same cookie cutter – you can make Mickey Mouse rice crispy treats and even dip them in chocolate.  I think we just might have to make these treats for our party – this is easy but loads of fun for the kids to enjoy!  To read how to make your own go to Kara’s Party Ideas.

Disney Cookies:

These look pretty easy to make as well and are quite cute.  Spoonful has some other really fun Disney inspired recipes here.

Minnie Mouse Drinks:

You can decorate pretty much any type of drink you want with these fun ideas from A To Z Celebrations.  I don’t think it needs to be a pink drink (I am assuming this is pink lemonade) so if you like this idea but don’t want to use pinks – try out some other Disney colors like blue, red and yellow.  To see some more Minnie Mouse birthday ideas go here.

DIY Mickey Mouse Sign:

I think this is so fun!  You can have a metal one personalized just for you on Etsy here.  For a party, you could make your own out of thicker black, red and white cardboard and use the Disney font.  Image found on Etsy.

Adorable Place Settings:

Such a clever idea that really doesn’t seem too hard to create!  I love those polka dots on the wooden utensils and I am sure you can get some help from the kids to make them pre-party.  And there is just something about those striped paper straws that I can’t seem to get enough of!  We used them to make silly props for my daughter’s carnival-themed birthday party this past summer.  They really are so versatile and next time you see them on sale at Marshalls or your local craft store pick some up! You will definitely find a use for them if you have kids!  Read more at A to Z Celebrations.

A Mickey Mouse Centerpiece:

What a fun idea from the blogger over at Our Happily Ever Afters.  She said she used black Styrofoam to create these Mickey Mouse centerpieces.  Just might have to make these for our party as well!  Read more here.

Minnie Décor:

So fun!  You can make your own very easily!  Instead of the black flower puffs – try to use thick black paper and glue them on to a black lantern that you can find just about anywhere.  Check Amazon or Oriental Trading to purchase them in bulk.  Image found on Baballa.

Don’t Forget Your Party Hat:

This is a cute idea from Kara’s Party Ideas.  You can find premade red birthday hats at your local party store.  And for the ears, you can use thick(er) black paper and glue them on to make this adorable hat that both girls and boys will enjoy wearing.  Image found at Kara’s Party Ideas.

Hope these gave you some ideas to incorporate into your Disney Party!
