There is just something about walking through the gates at Disneyland that makes me feel like I am 7 years old again!  I am usually rushing through the entrance as I can’t wait to ride the roller coasters – Space Mountain is one of our favorites, and take a ride through Pirates of the Carribean for the 100th time.  It has been so wonderful sharing Disneyland with my daughter and we have had season passes since she was old enough to walk.  Last year my husband asked me what I wanted for my birthday and I told him “Season passes to Disneyland of course!”  I feel it is worth the money since we stop by Disneyland any chance we get.  If she is out of school early one day – guess where we are headed to? I could be having a bad day (or week) and the minute I walked through those gates I can’t help but cheer up and forget about the day-to-day things that come with life and just enjoy myself with my daughter.  It is a special place for us.  Check out our latest adventure on Space Mountain.  My daughter is pretty fearless when it comes to the roller coasters.  Me… not so much!

Show Your Disney Side with a Party!

I was so exited to find out that dandelion moms was chosen out of thousands of mom bloggers to host a Disney Side Home Celebration.  Basically what Disney is asking is for people to share their Disney Side.  You know, you have your “normal” side that takes care of the family, bills, school work, etc., and then you have your fun-loving “Disney Side”.  The side that likes to be goofy and a kid again and just be in the moment.  That is what being a dandelion parent is all about!  Be present and enjoy the journey.  We are planning on having our guests show up in their favorite Disney character outfits and will be offering some yummy Disney-inspired treats.

Planning Your Party:

They have provided some great ideas to host your own Disney Side party and here are some fun ideas to join in on the fun!  Just make sure to use the hashtag #DisneySide when posting about it!  And do share any photo’s you take on our Facebook page – we look to see the kid in you come alive which seems to happen with anything to do with Disneyland.   As a kid I just loved going to our yearly Disneyland trip and am so thankful I can share that wondrous experience with my daughter.  Last week we visited for a quick trip and ran into the Mad Hatter.  Disneyland really does bring out the kid in all of us!
