Play :: St.Patrick’s Day Gifts and Crafts
St.Patrick’s Day is one of our favorite holidays around our house. Never mind that most of us are predominately Irish (with a little Scottish, German, Hungarian and English mixed in). Regardless if you have any Irish blood in yer genes – this is a really fun holiday to celebrate! Here are some fun crafts and gifts you can hand to friends, teachers and family on St. Patrick’s Day.
Fingerprint Art:
I just love using my daughter’s fingerprints to create art. And this gift tag is just too cute and really easy to make! To read how to make your own leprechaun go to Spoonful. They have some really fun craft ideas!
Shamrock Crystals:
This looks tasty enough to eat! The blogger at Housing a Forest provides a step by step tutorial to make your own shamrock crystal to enjoy. Read more here.
You’re My Pot o’ Gold Party Favor
This adorable party favor could be handed out to your children’s classmates and teachers. Made out of Rainbow Twizzlers and chocolate coins, Babble provides a tutorial on how to make these fun goodie bags that will surely be a hit with the kids!
St. Patrick’s Day in a Jar:
This is just so pretty and colorful! Plus most kids I know love skittles and chocolate coins so you really can’t go wrong with gifting this gorgeous jar filled with goodies! To read how to make your own go to Babble.
St. Patrick’s Day Clover Place Cards:
This idea comes from Chica and Jo. She used them as place cards for a party but I love them as teacher gifts. She says it took her about 5 minutes to make. To read more go here.
Catch Yourself a Leprechaun:
Catch a leprechaun with this clever Lego trap! The kids will surely have a blast making this leprechaun concoction in hopes of catching one of the little green guys! To read more go to East Coast Mommy Blog.
Make Your Own Rainbow:
This is such a beautiful craft and I know that my daughter loves any crafts that involve cotton balls. She has been fascinated by these little white clouds since she was a baby and think this craft idea might be a hit with her! To read how to make your own go to She Knows.
