Hosted by famed interior designer and best-selling author, Nate Berkus, AMERICAN DREAM BUILDERS follows the nation’s top 12 designers and home builders as they compete to be crowned the Ultimate Dream Builder and take home a $250,000 cash prize. I have been watching Nate since his days when he would visit on Oprah. It has been great seeing him do more and more and now with this new show – American Dream Builders – It’s the home competition that will change everything!

My dream house would be near the ocean. it would be open, airy, “quiet”, and cozy. I’ve never had a nice big soaking tub – that would be nice! Energy efficiency would be important (appliances, solar panels, etc) as well as an outdoor green space for gardening and relaxation.

My dream home is the one I live in except it needs modernized and fixed up and decorated. I would like to add a half bath upstairs and have nice floors like stone tile in the guest bath and blue clear acrylic in the master bath with a rain shower over the spa tub. My kitchen would be altered to fit my small height. The master bedroom would have a cathedral ceiling. I love my home but really wish I had the money to have it fixed up.
