Recipes :: Adorable Spring-Inspired Snacks and Lunches

Now is the perfect time of year for a picnic in the park with the family or if weather in your neck of the woods won’t permit that – try a picnic in your living room!  My daughter loves when I make her fun lunches and I wanted to find some ideas to try out over spring break.  There are so many adorable bento lunch ideas but I am not that gifted!  So I found ideas via Pinterest that are doable for folk like me – something fun but won’t take all day to make.

A Birdhouse:

Now this is my kind of lunch!  The Cookie Cutter Lunch offers some great ideas to try out that won’t take too long to make.  And if you don’t have these little plastic muffin containers – just use some paper ones.  To read more go to Cookie Cutter Lunch.

Enjoy on a Rainy Day:

This is a really easy idea and I know I would enjoy that little piece of fudge!  Yum!  You can find these cute little containers at Walmart, Target or check on Amazon. To read more go to Parent Map.

A Fuzzy Bunny:

I am all about easy (and healthy) meals and this one would not take long at all to make.  Plus it is nutritious with the little broccoli florets, cucumbers, carrot and fruit.  And the little Peep will surely be a hit.  All in moderation is best though my daughter would probably eat the Peep first.  Image found on Pinterest.

Add Some Carrots:

What a fabulous idea from Hungry Happenings!  Beth is the queen of fun and unique recipes that you can make for any special occasion.  This carrot is made from Pillsbury Crescent Roll and stuffed with egg salad.  To read how to make this yummy meal go to Hungry Happenings.

Chirp Chirp:

Such a simple yet nutritious snack or meal.  You could add some bread to make it more hearty.  I love the fruit flowers and this would take less than 5 minutes to put together.  Image found on Pinterest.

Don’t forget your umbrella:

It’s raining boysenberries.  Or as my daughter calls them “girlenberries”. This snack is made with boysenberries, a sandwich of your choice cut into the shape of a cloud, red apple and a slice of green pepper.  Very cute!  Add a little yogurt on the side (or even add them at the top for some white clouds) and you have a complete meal.  Image found on Pinterest.

Love this idea from The Kitchn.  Each egg is made from Rice Krispy Treats and coated with different foods – such as black sprinkles.  To read more go to The Kitchn.

Easter Egg Treats:

This is a fun idea from Be Different Act Normal.  It is recommended to spray Pam non-stick to the eggs prior to adding the Rice Krispy Treats.  Would be a nice addition to your Easter morning egg hunt!  To read more go to Be Different Act Normal.
