Summer is here and time to get your home decked out for the summer months.  I love the lightness of summer and try to change up simple things like different (inexpensive IKEA) pillows, throws, and add seashells around to help bring the beach back to our place.  Nothing says summer quite like flowers, butterflies, and bright colors.  If you tend to decorate with neutrals, now is the time to add some color with these simple and inexpensive ideas.  Enjoy!

Nothing says summer than bright colors!  Love how fresh this mantle looks with the bright ceramics and flowers.  Look around your house to see what might look good together.  I even take some things out of my daugther’s room occasionally to dress up our mantle with some classic toys.  Add some fun – why not?
