The Kratt Brothers Teach Kids About Wildlife in a New Special

There are so many great programs on television that help parents supplement their children’s education.  One of my favorite programs is the Wild Kratt’s.  These brothers, Chris and Martin, have brought the fun into wildlife.  Since watching Zoboomafoo with my then 3 year old,  our family have been big fans of these two.  As a kid, I use to love watching the nature programs and learn about the world around us.  My daughter shares this same love of nature and we enjoy watching Wild Kratt’s together quite often.

This coming Monday the Kratt brothers, Martin and Chris will be educating kids about the differences between a crocodile and an alligator.  I look forward to watching the WILD KRATTS: SWAMP THINGS on Monday, July 21 on PBS KIDS as I don’t remember the differences myself! The one-hour special kicks off a week of new, swamp-tastic episodes set in Flordia’s Everglades and Cypress Swamp.

In the special, a pop Creature Quiz challenge question about what the differences are between a crocodile and an alligator turns into a full-blown Crocogator contest to find out why these two very similar creatures are different at all. The WILD KRATTS also go on a fact-finding adventure about mosquitos! Check your local listing for airtimes.

After watching the show you will be able to tell the difference between these two scary looking dinosaurs!

Though the instructions are in French you can get an idea of how she created this fun crocodile wall piece. It appears that this was made using an egg carton, paper plate, some tissue and colored paper.  Have fun!
