Beautify Your Office Space – Simple Solutions

This post contains sponsored content.

Though it can be challenging to work from your home (think dog barking at the squirrels teasing him from the tree’s, to your .child wanting to show you their latest Minecraft creation on Xbox to husband wanting to know what’s for dinner – all while trying to work), truly,  I am thankful that my job allows me to work from home.  But whether you work from home or at an office, there are ways to beautify your work space.  This is where the magic happens right so why not make it a nice place to come to every day!  Here are some simple solutions to beautify your work space.

Add Some Flowers:

I absolutely love Gerber Daisies and put them next to my computer in one of my favorite vases.  Add in some color to your office space with flowers.  If you work in an office, have your kids help you cut some flowers from your garden to bring to work.  They will help freshen up your work space and will bring a smile to you face!

Smells Clean:

You know how after awhile an office can get stuffy?  Well, why not pick up a scented candle in the air-care aisle in Wal-Mart at your next outing!  We love the new Glad Maple Syrup scented candle and I have it going all the time – day and night.  Between our dog, furry cat, kid and husband, our house could use all the help it can get!  My husband joked the other night that we just need a bacon-scented candle to go with our maple-scented candle for a complete meal.  Especially with the holidays upon us, I love picking up scented candles to put around the house.

Wallpaper Anyone?

If you work at home you could always try out some funky wallpaper to add some pop to your work station.  Or if you are in an office and the managers are up for it – why not add some peel-off wallpaper on one wall?  Image courtesy of design sponge.  You can search Google for peel off wallpaper here.

Bring In Some Color:

Love this colorful office chair found on Babble.  If you don’t sit for too long this would be perfect.  But if you sit for long hours you might want to try some other styles that will support your back.

I found this one at Home Depot for a decent price and I plan to add a fake sheepskin to add some pizazz to it!  Check IKEA for other funky chairs.

Hope these ideas help you in updating your office space! An make sure to take some time out for yourself and Step. Away. From. The. Computer.  Lately, I have been neglecting my walks with my dog but I know I feel much better if I step away from work for a bit.  Don’t worry, nothing will collapse if you take few minutes for yourself.  So if you are at work or at home, grab some tennis shoes and walk around the block or two.  And while you are out there see about picking some wildflowers to bring back to your desk!

What are ways you decompress at work?
