Dwell :: Decorating Tips for some Halloween Fun
Every mid-September my daughter and I are itching to get our Halloween decorations up! We get very excited about this time of year and I am always on the look-out for some DIY ideas I can incorporate into our home and outdoor décor. We host our annual Halloween neighborhood party so I like to make sure it is fun for the kids and big kids alike. Here are some simple and fabulous Halloween décor ideas to try out! Can’t wait to make that eyeball wreath for our front door! Which craft do you think you’ll make? Enjoy.
Invite a Witch to the Party:
Why not? She is fun to look at everyday! Tutorial can be found on BHG.
And Invite Her Sister:
Love this idea from Better Homes and Gardens. You can find these plastic shoes and stockings at any craft or Halloween store this season! And got to love that broom! Also found on BHG.
Make Your Own Formaldehyde Jars:
Fun idea from HGTV. Just fill these glass jars with water and food dye and add in plastic bats, fish or rats. Yikes! The kids will surely love this spooky concoction! Tutorial found on HGTV.
What’s Halloween without candy corn?
Yum! Do you love candy corn as well? This is a colorful way to bring in Halloween! Just fill the glass candle holders with this tasty candy, add in an orange candle and you are set! More ideas found on HGTV.
I’m Watching You!
Just love this eyeball wreath you can hang inside or outside your door! You just need a foam wreath, plastic balls and those little moving eyeballs and glue of course! We plan to make this craft for sure! Tutorial found on HGTV.
Paint It On:
The style for the past couple years has been to paint your pumpkins as well as carve them! I like this stenciled in pumpkin you can put on your front porch. Tutorial found on Shelterness.
A Pumpkin Masterpiece:
What a great idea! This is really cute and a tad spooky – perfect for Halloween fun! This fun idea and many other porch décor ideas found on Shelterness.
