Are you hosting friends and family this holiday?  Why not add in some little extras to the table to make it even more special.  But don’t worry, we found some ideas that won’t break the bank!  Most of these items you might already have in your home! Here are some fun ideas to try out and enjoy this year!

 

 

Create a Snow Village:

Love this idea!  I just picked up some inexpensive glass containers at Marshalls and was planning on doing something festive when I came across this Pin on Pinterest.  The kids would absolutely love to see this!  Would make for a fun activity at Christmas dinner.  Have your youngest start the story using the snow village characters, and have each person contribute to the story with one or two sentences.  By the end – you might have a fun or silly story!  Tutorial found on cfabriddedesigns by the talented Camilla Fabrri.

A Mini-Tree Brings So Much:

I was so inspired by this cute post and idea that I went out yesterday to get my own live mini-tree.  He is residing on our table as I write this!  I added some silver beds at the top but this idea is really cute.  And would make a wonderful teacher or neighbor gift! Edible Centerpiece:

This looks so yummy but make sure the kids don’t eat the centerpiece before your guests come!  It looks like she used frozen cranberries but you can find fake ones at any craft store.  Enjoy! More great ideas found on Midwest Living.

Add In Your Favorite Colors:

This centerpiece idea is about as simple as they come but looks so great!  You just need to get some floating candles on your next trip to the store!  Found on Babble.

 

 

 Add in Some Nature:

Such a pretty and easy centerpiece!  Most of us have some wooden boxes or trays laying around our place.  And you can bring back the pinecones from your latest adventure walk with the kids.  Idea found on PaperBlog.

 

 

Silver Bells and White…

 

You can’t ever go wrong with silver and white for the holidays!  I found these inexpensive jars at Marshalls, filled them with leftover small bulbs (with the occasional silver bell) and picked up a three pack of glass candle holders as well at Marshalls for $7.00.  The tray comes from Jonathan Adler’s Happy Chic collection at JC Penny’s and I think I got this on sale for under $10!  You can find a mini live tree just about anywhere these days and it adds a nice touch to any holiday décor!  Lumimarja tablecloth available in red through Marimekko though I bought mine through Crate & Barrel almost ten years ago!  It is pricy but has lasted much longer than the more inexpensive ones I have purchased.  Check for after Christmas sales!
