Jamberry Nails: Fabulous Nails Without the Salon Price
For the longest time I never wore anything on my nails. Being a full time teacher and mom to three little girls, all under the age of 6, I never had time to do my nails. I think I was able to sneak away to the nail salon once every six months. I would splurge on a pedicure but stay away from the manicure. Polish just never lasted on my nails. I would get so frustrated when I looked down and my polish was smudged immediately after leaving the salon or chipped one day later, so I just gave up.
Then Jamberry came into my life! I started by ordering Fourth of July inspired nail wraps for my daughter. Jamberry sells smaller sizes called Jamberry Juniors, perfect for little hands! After several YouTube videos my four year old had very festive nails. They were so easy to apply! Jamberry nails are heat activated nail wraps. For my daughter, we used a microwaved rice pack and her wraps were on in about 25 minutes. The sheet of wraps had a bunch left over so I went ahead and applied them to my nails. I was hooked!

What’s so great about Jamberry? They’re made of this incredibly durable, vinyl material. On the back, they have an adhesive similar to a sticker. They’re activated by heat and pressure. The great thing is you probably already have everything you need! The heat source can come from one of our fabulous mini heaters, or simply your hair dryer. My little ones can’t stand the heater so we use microwaved rice packs, which work wonderfully! All you have to do is warm up the wrap, stick them on your nail, press them down. Next you file your nail for a perfect fit, one more quick heating and you have a water-tight seal that will stand up to washing dishes, swimming pools and the kids’ bath times (believe me, mine have survived all of these several times over). It’s that simple to get a gorgeous manicure that will last about two weeks. Even better, they work on toes for four weeks or more!
These nail wraps are also non-toxic and do not harm your nails. I use coconut oil to remove my nail wraps, which has some added benefits, revitalizing rough, ragged cuticles.

If you are someone who loves to get your nails done or has a favorite go-to polish, Jamberry nails can actually be layered on top of polish or acrylics. There are several options that have a design with a clear background, so your painted nail will show through the clear parts.

I’ve never tried Jamberry Nails yet, but I tried something similar from a local drugstore and received many compliments. It was so easy to look like I just had my nails nicely done, when I don’t have time for nails to dry with a little one and being on the go all the time.
