What’s Hot in Southern California :: Knott’s Merry Farm
Our family had a chance to check out Knott’s Merry Farm this month and it reminded me of how much fun Knott’s is during the holiday season. The entire theme park is decorated in Christmas cheer and you can’t help but noticing all the little additions throughout the park. It really does get you in the spirit of the holidays! Plus they are known for all of their amazing rides and my daughter absolutely loves roller coasters so we could be found running from ride to ride throughout the park. I recommend to do this before you eat lots of sweets! Note to self for next time!
The largest Christmas Tree in the park is located on the stage in Calico Square at Knott’s Merry Farm. It is absolutely beautiful and my daughter was quite intrigued when I wondered aloud what might the elves be making in their workshops. She is hoping they are making her a red (with flames) drum set she requested from Santa!
Santa’s Christmas Cabin:
We really enjoyed hanging out in Santa’s Christmas Cabin that is filled with homemade cookies and milk, to s’mores, and about every pastry you can image to the roasted nuts, they have just about everything to see and enjoy for the whole family. I really love all the decorations. Make sure to sit back awhile in Santa’s Cabin and enjoy all the sights and sounds (and yummy smells). There is gorgeous Christmas Tree in the center of his cabin with picnic tables so families can kick back awhile and relax.
The whole park is decorated in holiday cheer! And I wanted to take this large nutcracker home. I have the perfect place for him near our tree.
Knott’s Berry Farm Preserves:
They even had their new berry preserves to sample and purchase in Santa’s Christmas Cabin. I grew up eating Knott’s Berry Farm jelly and was happy to hear they are making their own version again (old-school style) after this division of the company was sold years ago. The jelly just didn’t taste the same after it was sold to a new company. So when I heard about their new berry preserves I was super excited! These natural preserves taste like the real deal and I bought a couple to bring home and hand out as gifts.
Stop by to see Santa:
And of course we had to check out Santa and give him our list. As I mentioned, my daughter has her eye on a red drum set and Santa told her he would see what he could do – with a wink to good ‘ol mom!
Lots of Live Shows:
They have a ton of great live shows going on as well throughout the season. In the Bird Cage Theatre there are two live shows, “A Christmas Carol” and “The Gift of the Magi.” And at the Calico Saloon you will find their Christmas Show. And you can’t miss the “Merry Christmas, Snoopy!” show that features amazing ice skating professionals and the music of Christmas together, that is fun for the whole family.
It was such a fun day with the family! I love creating memories with my daughter and enjoying places that I grew up visiting. Knott’s Berry Farm will always hold a special place for me not only because I have many fun memories from visiting as a child but also because how happy the Peanuts crew make me! My favorite stuffed plush was Snoopy and I still smile when I see him at the park.
This holiday season check out Knott’s Merry Farm and create some lasting memories with your family. Their annual passes are really affordable and they even offer monthly payments of only $13.25 for six months. And this even includes one FREE Admission to Knott’s Merry Farm this holiday season.
To celebrate all things Knott’s – we have this adorable duo that we couldn’t resist purchasing at the Peanuts Store on the way out the park. Good luck lovely dandelion moms!

I’ve never been there, but I like water rides. Bigfoot Rapids looks fun.

I have only been there once on a family vacation to CA. That was many years ago and I don’t really remember the rides.
