Does your family like quirky shows? Have you heard of Numb Chucks? It originated in Canada on YTV and premiered on January 7, 2014. The show is targeted at 6-11 year olds, and airs in Canada and on Cartoon Networks’ Boomerang in the US. An animated comedy series, Numb Chucks focuses on two well-intentioned but incompetent woodchucks, Dillweed and Fungus, who try to use kung fu to protect their hometown from criminals. My daughter says her favorite character is Master Sensei because he is so funny. We tend to enjoy the more quirky shows like PBS Kids ODD SQUAD and Cartoon Networks The Amazing World of Gumball.

This crazy duo, Dillweed and Fungus, are the star in a fun new app Numb Chucks: Chuck Fu. It is free to download, though there are some in-app purchases that are totally worth the money ($2.99). There are 8 random mini-games that help you master the art of Chuck Fu. I really like that in each game they explain simply what needs to be done and that each game works on different skills. For example, we have to pull the shearing scissors around the bushes in a circle without going outside the designated area. For some reason, the game Operation came to my mind while playing it as you have to hold your hand really steady. I loved that game as a kid!

Each game is really funny. We really liked the “Swipe the groceries into Grandma’s bag” game. Where do these guys come up with these ideas?! Hysterical. You are timed so you need to move quickly, which this ‘ol mom had to figure out! You have the option to “Do Over” (isn’t that a nice feature – wish we had that button in life sometimes) so your child can try their hand at the game again – no problem. That way, they don’t get too frustrated and can keep trying to beat the game. And when you win that game, one of the Numb Chucks comes out and says “Heah YAY! and does a little Kung Fu move.

The music that plays throughout is very catchy. You are shown your score each time you move past a game with the two Numb Chucks decked out in gansta gear – gold money necklaces and all with their cool-dude shades on. I am telling you – your kids will get a kick out these fun games.

Numb Chucks: Chuck Fu is free to download and play. Players are challenged through 8 random mini-games to master the art of Chuck Fu, playing as the lead characters, Dillweed and Fungus. Numb Chucks fans will love this intense, 12-step Way of the Chuck training app that will help players achieve the ultimate in Kung Fu!
