Aladdin Diamond Edition Preview at Walt Disney Studios
This past weekend my family had the privilege of attending the preview of the Diamond Edition of Aladdin at the Walt Disney Studios in Burbank. The upcoming release of the Blu-ray/DVD set was celebrated in true Disney style. There were many engaging games and activities for the children. My boys had fun trying to win Disney-themed prizes, and I had a blast learning the basics of belly dancing. They also catered a nice breakfast to keep us going.
In attendance were many ABC/Disney Channel stars: Jodie Sweetin from “Fuller House”, Joey Bragg from “Liv and Maddie”, Luna Blaise from “Fresh Off the Boat”, Murray Rundus from “Gamer’s Guide”, and Nathan Arenas and Nina Lu from “Bunk’d” to name a few.
We previewed the movie at the on-site movie theater. They treated us to drinks and popcorn. Ron Clements, the Producer/Director of Aladdin, introduced the film to the crowd. Also in attendance was Scott Weinger, the voice of Aladdin. He shared with the crowd that this was the first time his son was viewing the film. It was a special day for his family.
My boys loved the movie. It was also their first time seeing Aladdin. It was so nice to see this movie again through the eyes of my children. Of course their favorite character was the Genie which was voiced so perfectly by the late Robin Williams. His comedic genius is apparent throughout the whole film. We laughed and smiled throughout the movie. I left wanting to belt out “A Whole New World”. I spared my children the embarrassment.
Aladdin Diamond Edition is due to be released on a Blu-ray/DVD set on October 13, 2015. There will be Genie outtakes by Robin Williams, a never-before-seen tribute to the genius talent of Robin Williams, a group of deleted songs and scenes, movie secrets, and other bonus features. Aladdin is rated G and runs approximately 91 minutes.
Note: We were invited to a preview Aladdin Diamond Edition at the Walt Disney Studios. Thank you for a truly memorable day. This did not affect our opinion in any way.
