Disney Junior’s Miles from Tomorrowland: Let’s Rocket!
Join Miles and His Family on Adventurous Super-Galactic Missions in Disney Junior’s Newest Hit!
Lately, my daughter has really been into learning about space exploration and our planets. She and her grandpa like to watch the show Cosmos together. They turn off all the lights, get comfy on the sofa and eat popcorn while learning about our galaxy. She even started working on an extra-credit report she plans to give to her class about our solar system. I am telling you, she is so into it and I love it! If your kids are into space exploration have them put together a poster board of fun facts about our Solar System. Here is an example of what my daughter is working on.
Miles from Tomorrowland – an intergalactic adventure:
We enjoyed watching Disney Junior’s “Miles from Tomorrowland” that is an intergalactic adventure that charts the outer space missions of young adventurer Miles Callisto and his family – mom and ship captain, Phoebe; mechanical engineer dad, Leo; tech-savvy big sister, Loretta; and best friend robo-ostrich pet, Merc – as they help connect the galaxy on behalf of the Tomorrowland Transit Authority.
Help Create a Natural Interest in Space
Miles, Merc and the Callisto family explore wondrous and diverse new worlds, taking young viewers and their families on a futuristic journey designed to fuel kids’ natural interest in space, and at the same time reminding them of the importance of what lies close to home – the family bond.

I absolutely love this party idea that can be purchased online at Etsy at the SugarLagoon Parties page. But if you want to try it yourself you would just need some printables and cardboard letters you can find at your local craft store. So fun!
Create your own photo booth!
This is a fun idea from the Disney Family site.

My kids love anything space-related. Miles is such a great show, and I especially like that the captain of the ship is the mom. Not typical gender roles. Kudos to Disney! We’ve talked about the planets and the Milky Way, and the kids have a solar system rug in their room and they love to jump from planet to planet. 🙂
