Adobe PhotoShop Elements Bring Your Photographs to Life
Taking Photography to the next level with Elements Photoshop
One of my goals this year is to learn more about photography. Last year my husband gave me a nice Nikon camera to get started and I have to admit I have taken my time learning how to use it properly. But I am determined to take some classes and watch the tutorial DVD they provided with the camera. I mean, really, I am in the world of blogging I need to take the best pictures possible. When I see pretty pictures they just make me happy. I think that is why I am a bit obsessed with Pinterest and Instagram. What about you?
But there are some tools the casual/beginner photographer can use to optimize their photos! I was introduced to the Adobe Photoshop Elements program at the Mom 2.0 Summit last April and I vowed to learn more how to use this simple yet optimal program that helps bring your photographs to life.
Anything from smartphone selfies, tablet landscapes, posed portraits and quick candids, the Adobe Photoshop Elements 14 helps you make your photo’s look fantastic.
The Adobe Photoshop Elements is all about simplicity:
Are you a casual picture taker or just getting started in photography and want an easy way to organize, edit, and share your photos and videos? The Adobe Photoshop Elements and Premiere Elements 14 software is all about simplicity and sharing with both your photos & videos. I love that it offers a way to edit your home videos! Can’t wait to try this out!

And after.
There are so many tools available with the Adobe Photoshop Elements program. One of my favorites is the Motion Blur that gives your action photos an extra pop. Take a picture of your kids running towards you with a cape on and you have a cool action shot.
One of the selling points for me is that you can take the photo or video now and enjoy editing it later which allows you to just be in the moment. You don’t have to worry about getting that perfect shot because the program will help you draw out the best elements in the photograph as well as get rid of elements you don’t want like red eye. You can even remove camera shake from your selfies or clear the haze from landscape shots with the touch of a button.
And if you want to use the new Guided Edits take you through the process to create the ultimate photos and videos. I used it to enhance this silly picture of our family making duck faces. It isn’t a great picture but I wanted to show how the Elements Photoshop can help bring out natural colors and enhance even the most blah picture!

And After.
It is easy to transform your photos and videos onto the program where you can make quick edits, add any artistic touches you want and even some really cool effects like a pro. Plus it will be an easy way to organize your photos and videos. I heard from a photographer friend that she will upload the images she took from the day and write the event/occasion and date to help her when she is looking for an image through hundreds of photographs. The Elements program also helps you find familiar faces and all the photographs that a particular person is located in. Very clever!
For the holidays you can share lasting memories in scrapbooks and cards that show your style. Share photos and movies via disc or on Facebook, YouTube, Vimeo and more. View them on 4K and HD TVs (new with Elements 14). And put a cool twist on your Facebook page with a custom cover photo.
Other features include:
- Edit and view high-res 4K movies for the ultimate cinematic experience, and make a splash by easily adding animated titles and transitions.
- Find & Organize your stuff fast – Every memory at your fingertips. Quickly find and organize photos and videos by favorite people, or simply search by where you were or what you were doing.
