Marie Callender’s Comforts From Home Project Aids our Troops

There was a Marie Callender’s restaurant near my childhood home in Tustin and our family use to go quite a bit.  Their homemade chili and cornbread are just amazing and I loved ordering their pot pies as well. For me, Marie Callender’s offers such comfort food.  And every now and then we all need that, don’t we?! Thankfully, they started offering frozen meals using high-quality ingredients that are available at your local grocery store so you can pick up a comfort meal at any time for yourself and family.  The are also famous for their pies and one of my favorites is their apple pie.  Warm or cold, topped with vanilla ice cream – it sure hits the spot.

And I always use their pie crust (why reinvent the wheel?) which is really tasty!  Last night my daughter and I made a blueberry pie using a Marie Callender’s pie crust and I can’t wait to top it with some whipped cream for tonight’s celebrations!

This fall, Marie Callender’s announced the return of the Comforts from Home Project, a partnership with the United Service Organizations (USO) that’s dedicated to bringing the heartwarming feelings, flavors, and favorites of home to those who miss it most.

You can  help bring the comforts of home to the brave men and women of the U.S. military, by purchasing specially-marked packages of Marie Callender’s meals and desserts.
