Tips for a Summer Cold

This past February the entire family got that horrible flu that was going around the country.  I am not sure who brought it home but I’d put my money on my husband bringing it home since he was the first one down, then me and next our daughter.  We were all so sick and hadn’t felt that horrible in literally years.  I remember looking over at my husband on the couch and seeing he had fallen asleep watching a movie sitting up.  But more like half sitting up half collapsed over.  I had to shake him to make sure he was still with us – truly it was a bad one!

To help ease my daughter’s aches and pains and reduce her fever fast – we used Children’s Advil®, a great solution for kids as young as 2 and up to 11. Children’s Advil® comes in several great-tasting flavors, including: Sugar-free Dye-free Berry, Bubble Gum, Grape, Blue Raspberry, Fruit and Dye-Free White Grape flavors. There’s also Infants’ Advil® White Grape, which provides unsurpassed fever relief with a syringe for easy dosing for children 6-23 months.  Of course she was the first one to recover from that awful flu but I am so glad we had these products in the house to use the moment we realized she too, had caught the flu.

I would also add some popsicles in the mix as this will help keep them hydrated.  Especially if they are throwing up you want to make sure they are drinking enough water.  Popsicles are a good way to add some liquid!  We have this bunch available for a giveaway courtesy of Pfizer and Target.

All in a great tasting grape flavor, Children’s Dimetapp® Cold & Cough tackles a child’s most bothersome stuffy and runny noses, all while working to relieve cough.  All the Pfizer Pediatric Platform products are available at Target.

My go to cold remedy for the kids is usually cough medicine, and I put Zoe Organics breathe balm on their chest and feet before bed.

I don’t know what my sister uses for my niece. I never hear from my sister that she ever gets sick. She attended preschool this past year, so she is around a lot of little ones her age. She goes to the park and plays at the playground, loves to play in the sand, too. She loves to help mommy in the garden. She loves fresh fruits and veggies. Perhaps prevention is the remedy. Would not hurt to have these meds on hand, just in case.

I have meds on hand for myself, as a karma preventive 🙂
