Save the Date: August 9th AIG Travel #WhereNext Twitter Party!

I am super excited to be working with AIG Travel this month and sharing with you all the many benefits of sustainable travel.  Sustainable travel is the socially-responsible way families and solo-travelers are exploring new places.  I wrote a piece about sustainable travel here you can check out but basically sustainable travel is about leaving a positive impact on the communities you visit.  This could be something as simple as eating at local restaurants to support the business owners (think small businesses) as opposed to your favorite fast food joint to purchasing souvenirs that are handmade by locals opposed to trinkets made just for tourists.

Join the AIG Travel Twitter Party:

At the AIG Travel #WhereNext Twitter Party on August 9th from 8-9 pm CT we will be talking about sustainable travel, and answering questions AIG Travel has for the participants that enters them for prizes!  Be sure to check out the rules here and register to join the party below.  We are really excited to join in the fun and talk about ways we can give back to communities we visit around the world.  Some of my favorite souvenirs I’ve collected through my travels are ones that the local men and women created.  This is just one simple way to give back to places you visit.  Join us on August 9th and learn more about how we can leave a positive impact while we travel the world! And be entered for a chance to win some pretty cool prizes I might add!  You can read more about the party and rules here.
