LuLaRoe, Unicorns and Being a Consultant

LuLaRoe

How familiar are you with LuLaRoe (LLR)? I know for the past several months I’ve either heard it in conversation, seen it on my newsfeed (Facebook), or commented to a friend or stranger on their outfit to find out that it’s what they’re wearing. I had no idea that LLR had been around much longer than the seven months I’ve been aware of it. It’s a huge brand and it’s expanding and the women and their children that wear LLR have nothing but wonderful comments and statements to say about the clothing. I’m going to introduce you to one of the consultants, Cheryl Brewer of LuLaRoe Decadence with Cheryl, and introduce you to this comfortable, fashionable, and unicorn-hunting line of clothing so that you too can get in on the fun and update your closet: LLR style!

Cheryl, who also has a full-time [demanding] job with a company that creates educational apps for the early learner, found LLR about five months ago via an online pop-up that her sponsor was hosting. She made her first purchases [leggings followed by Randy t-shirts] and found herself extremely excited about the line of clothing – from the colors and designs to the fabric itself. Her mind started spinning with the possibilities of having her own LuLaRoe boutique: “Investing in herself”.

I asked Cheryl to take me through the steps of hosting a pop-up along with more information on the clothing and company itself.

What is a Pop Up?

A pop up is what we call a LuLaRoe clothing sale and it is either via in-home or an online Facebook party. As a fashion consultant for an in-home pop up, I bring all of my clothing to the “host house” and set up shop (from the clothing racks to the clothes) on a prearranged date. The hostess has already invited all of her friends and family (those that come have an advantage as they’re able to try on different styles/mix and match to see what works for them and what they like, live and in-person … then leave with their purchases) beforehand. Then for every 10 items of LLR sold at the pop up, the hostess will earn one free article of clothing (of her choice) from me.

The alternative to being a traveling consultant and “my goal” is to set up an “in-home boutique” so that people can pop over to my home with their friends/family to shop my LLR inventory. This alleviates the stress of having to worry about cleaning your home or inviting in other people (some you may not know) – or even serving snacks etc. The “in-home boutique” would still give them all the perks of being a “hostess”!

Currently the majority of my sales occur online through Facebook. VIP’s (buyers) in my Facebook group have the opportunity to shop from the comfort of their couch. For each line of clothing I carry for LLR, I post albums each Wednesday at 7:00pm CST. All the VIP needs to do is comment: SOLD ~ then when the online pop up ends all invoices for items claimed “sold” are emailed through LuLaRoe’s payment processing service affectionately named, “Audrey”. Once payment is received I ship out all items to the VIP’s along with a special thank you gift.

Talk to me about “unicorns” … can you ever tell what will become one or …. ?

Unicorn is a LuLaRoe print you fall in love with and that is special to you. Sometimes it is a pattern that the masses are seeking out, but mainly it is just a print that you have got to have … it’s your unicorn!

Break the LLR line down for me. I know there are dresses and skirts and leggings [of course] plus more. What about sizing/fit?

There are several different pieces of LLR clothing. It would be easier to see them. ***Cheryl was right! There are more than I knew about! To make it easier and not bombard with tons and tons of pictures – here’s a link so you can see the actual item and the sizing – plus a little about it on each placard. There are girls, boys, men and women – along with the Randy which is favorite LLR shirt of many that is unisex! If you have any questions, Cheryl would be happy to help you and answer any and all questions. ~C***

How did you become an LLR Consultant (the WHY) and how has it changed you and your family?

I started by messaging my sponsor. I had watched a couple of pop-up’s and was so excited by LuLaRoe and the possibilities. I come from a long line of entrepreneurs and I wanted my boys to see me as someone they can admire, model after and continue their path to become strong, independent young men that give back and understand that hard work has its rewards. That in taking charge of your destiny you can help others become happier and successful too! Being a consultant for LuLaRoe also helps with the financial cost of putting two boys through college (well, just one now as the other is gainfully employed *yay*) – again, I’m a single mom and with no other assistance or help in that area, I’m able to work a second job with flexible hours selling something I believe in, am passionate about and wear too! With all of that, “the Why” or “my WHY” is ever evolving. With LuLaRoe, I’m able to take full leadership of my destiny/success and how others feel in my role of serving as a LuLaRoe consultant. It’s very rewarding.

I have come to know Cheryl through LLR this last year. She is amazing in what she does and you can tell how much she truly love LLR through how much care and attention she gives her business and her customers/VIPs. She is truly what LLR stands for. You picked one of the best to feature. I love LLR and what it has done for me and the confidence it has built in myself through wearing clothing. I love the Leggings, the fit so well and just so comfy. But I am also a big fan of the Randy. Again just pure comfort and fits so well and looks great. It’s hard to choose one favorite item since those are my tops but I love just about everything offered. Thank you for the chance on this contest!

I do not know about this clothing, but I’ve seen people post about the leggings. I’d get a pair of those and maybe a coordinating top. Super cute patterns!

My favorite LLR items so far are the Amelia dress and the Maxi Skirt. I think I would spend my prize on either a new Maxi or try something new like the Carly.
