Halloween :: Shows, DIY Costume and Craft Ideas

 

With Halloween only 11 days away, Halloween celebrations are in full swing. We absolutely go crazy this time of year – from decorating our house to deciding what our costumes shall be, my daughter and I love this time of year!  Whether you’re in need of some quick and easy costume inspiration or looking for a Streaming and Screaming good time, Netflix has you covered. DIY Easy Chalkboard Paint BOO Craft:

We created this last year and had so much fun I thought I’d share it with you all.  It is really easy to make and the kids love to write on the chalkboard letters leading up to the big night!

 

You will need:

Cardboard letters – we picked ours up at our local craft store

Chalkboard paint – small container will be plenty

A couple foam paintbrushes (I’d be sure to give one to each child helping out!)

Newspaper to line your tabletop

Be sure to dress your kids in old clothes in case they tend to get messy like mine does!  Have them paint the inside of the letters first and then go on the outside.   Let them dry in between coats but I would paint them twice.

This is a super easy and cute craft to do with the kids!  Once they dry you can write on them what you wish.  Enjoy!
