OC Parks Presents the Annual Summer Concert Series

July 13 OC Parks welcomes Journey tribute band Open Arms and ‘80s sensation Flashback Heart Attack.

The OC Parks Summer Concert Series is excited to welcome back indie singer-songwriter and local music hero Matt Costa to the 2017 lineup on Thursday, July 27 at Irvine Regional Park.

The series will then move to Fountain Valley at Mile Square Regional Park with local Orange County Celtic rock band The Fenians performing on Thursday, August 3.

Continue the celebration at Mile Square Park on August 10 with popular reggae-rock band Common Sense as they bring the sounds of summer.

The summer concert series wraps with two oceanfront dates at Bluff Park, overlooking Salt Creek Beach in Dana Point.

Save the date on Thursday, August 17 for a very special surprise guest to be announced in June.

Family Style and Tijuana Dogs will be performing live at Salt Creek Beach on Thursday, August 24.

The Orange County Marketplace, located on the grounds of the Orange County Fair & Event Center, offers an unique weekend outdoor shopping adventure. Most days the main stage offers concerts by live bands, and the Marketplace also does special events on holidays throughout the year. Whether you’re looking for fresh produce, bagels, custom-built furniture, unique kitchen items or maybe even a Mercedes, you’ll be rewarded at this shopping fest, which happens every Saturday and Sunday from 7:00 AM until 4:00 PM. Segerstrom Center’s FREE Movie Mondays returns for its 11th season on the Arts Plaza. Moviegoers can look forward to casual evenings full of fun-filled activities, picnic dinners or specialties from popular food trucks and watching five fan-favorite films on consecutive Mondays.

Families and fans from all over claim their space on the Center’s 46,000-square-foot Arts Plaza, enjoying early dinners, music and people watching. Since the movies are projected on the side of Segerstrom Hall, everyone has a great seat. Set-up begins at 5:30 p.m., with the movie starting at dusk (approximately 8 p.m.). Guests are encouraged to bring beach chairs or other easily portable seating items, snacks and picnic suppers. Each Monday will also feature different food trucks serving culinary sensations throughout each screening. Prior to the show (starting around 7:30 p.m.) there are audience participation events.

 The OC Fair returns July 14 – August 13, 2017, with 23 days of food, rides, shopping, exhibits and animals. From 1949 to the present, the OC Fair has grown from a small, community, five-day celebration to a 23-day festival that is one of Orange County’s most eagerly awaited annual events.

Watch the Los Angeles Chargers live NFL practice, open to the public in Costa Mesa at Jack Hammett Sports Complex. While Training Camp is ticketless and walk-ups are welcome, fans are encouraged to reserve free bleacher seating passes – available on a first come, first served basis from the website link.

Gates to Jack Hammett Sports Complex will open one hour before the start of each practice session. Parking is available at the OC Fair and Event Center parking lots off Arlington Drive for $10. Parking is valid for the entire day should fans want to attend the OC Fair (July 14-August 13) following practice. There will also be a dedicated location for rideshare service -off and pick-up adjacent to Jack Hammett Sports Complex.

Fans may bring their own food, water and soft drinks but no alcoholic beverages are allowed. Smoking is not allowed at Chargers Training Camp. Food trucks will be at the sports complex for food and beverage purchase.

Fans are welcome to bring personal cameras and cell phones for photos. Other items not permitted at Jack Hammett Sports Complex include: pets (other than service animals), weapons of any kind, water guns, fireworks, frisbees, sports balls, beach balls or other inflatable objects, laser pointers, flammable objects, musical instruments or noise-making devices.

The Pacific Amphitheatre is an outdoor live music venue in Costa Mesa, California that opened in July 1983. It was closed in the early ’90s and later reopened in 2003 for the annual Orange County Fair. It underwent reconstruction and improvements in 2015. Aside from hosting music concerts, it also serves as the commencement site for the nearby Orange Coast College.

With room for more than 8,000 fans, the venue includes seating such as the intimate pit area, the orchestra, VIP seating, and general admission. Accessible seating is also available.

The Pacific Amphitheatre is accessible by the OC Fair Express, which is available on Fridays through Sundays only. Patrons may also take a bicycle, taxi, or private car. General parking is available along with parking for buses and limos and VIP parking.
