7 Summer Fashion Trends You Don’t Want to Miss

So what’s in your closet?  Are you looking to add a few (or several) fun pieces to your summer wardrobe?  This summer we are seeing a mix of boho chic, tassels, off the shoulder blouses and florals.  I am a big believer in not necessarily following trends just to follow them but see what works for your body type, lifestyle and comfort level.  I am all for making an effort to look stylish but definitely want to wear things that are comfortable.  That is one of the reasons I love dresses!  They are super easy to dress up or down for any occasion.  You can wear them when you are wearing your mom hat, or for work or even date night by adding in some colorful jewelry.   Here are some of our favorite additions to your summer wardrobe.  Enjoy!

Ripped Jeans

I’ve seen these on young women on up to women in their 60’s!  I like this look because you can pair them with heels or fun sandals like this photo.  And dress it up with a pretty silk top or more casual white cotton t-shirt that is another staple you should have in your wardrobe!

T-Shirt Dress

I have seen both long and short t-shirt dresses all summer long in fashion magazines, online and in-stores.

The T-shirt dress is a great staple to have!

I just snatched a great green one at our local resale boutique and love that it can be dressed up or worn more casually.  And stripes are always in don’t you think?   Found on Outfits Hunter.

Tassels

I just love this trend!  I found a cute black dress with tassels on the sleeves and at the bottom of the dress and was not sure if I could pull it off so I asked some friends what they thought.

Everyone should have a tassel dress! They are a great “party” dress!

I have to say I am SO glad I didn’t take it back because I’ve already worn it to several “party” themed events (and even on my daughter’s birthday).  It is a great party dress and can be worn with sandals like this young lady is wearing or with strappy heels like I wore to The Emoji Movie screening party last month.

Give the Cold Shoulder… with a top or dress:

This is another favorite trend I have been seeing this spring and summer!  It is super flattering on most body types and can be worn during the day or night.  A great staple and I’ve seen them all over town at affordable prices!  Check your local discount (Marshalls) store to see what they might have!

Summer Blazer

Loving this blush color!  A summer blazer in a light fabric is a great staple to have as well as you can dress it up if needed!  And this blush color is amazing as it looks great on most skin types.  Found on Stylish Women’s Outfits.

Florals:

Florals are everywhere!  From a cute top like this one to flowery dresses.  I am loving this colorful addition this summer!  Found on Outfits Hunter.

Rompers aren’t just for kids!

Such a fun fashion trend!  I picked on up a few months ago and loved wearing it to an event up in Los Angeles.

If you choose one in a solid color it more versatile to wear for day or night.

These are great because you can wear it during the day, be super comfortable and dress it up at night with some pumps or wedges depending on the pattern.  You won’t regret snatching one up! Found on Albion.
