The NUT JOB 2: Nutty by Nature Out in Theaters August 11th

Today is the day when The NUT JOB 2: Nutty by Nature comes out! You just might want to take the kids this weekend and check it out. We really enjoyed this movie and were laughing along with the kids. The cast in The NUT JOB 2 are amazing and I don’t think you can go wrong with Will Arnett as the lead character. In The NUT JOB 2, Surly Squirell (Will Arnett) and the gang are back. We are once again in Oakton where the evil mayor has decided to bulldoze Liberty Park and build a dangerous amusement park in its place. Surly and his ragtag group of animal friends band together to save their home, defeat the mayor, and take back the park.

The NUT JOB 2 also features the voice talent of Katherine Heigl (The Nut Job), Jackie Chan (Kung Fu Panda 3), Peter Stormare (Penguins of Madagascar), Bobby Cannavale (Ant-Man), Isabela Moner (Middle School: The Worst Years of My Life), and Maya Rudolph (The Angry Birds Movie).

Jackie Chan’s character was hysterical! Oh my, he just might be my favorite! But the whole cast is really great in this movie. The movie is very well written and I always appreciate when they throw jokes in for the parents to enjoy.

The story is very sweet and has an underlying message about appreciating those around you as well as appreciating, and taking care of Planet Earth. This is always a good message for kids! And it is done is such a way you don’t feel you are being preached at, at all. But more of an understanding of how each creature, insect, person plays a role and can contribute to making their community, and thus world a better place. Very sweet!

Another favorite character I rather enjoyed was the mayor’s crazy daughter. She steals each scene she’s in… very amusing! The scene where she is commanding her pet(s) to do tricks is pretty funny!

We had a chance to participate in press junket and interviews which included Will Arnett, Maya Rudolph, Bobby Cannavale and Gabriel Iglesias and was moderated by THE MOMS for their Mamarazzi platform.

You can image how funny this group was up on stage. They were all cracking jokes and of course entertained the room that was filled with mom and dad influencers and their kids. My daughter started “dabbing” with Will while he was taking the stage. She’s a character that one. Maya and Will spoke about their kids being funnier than they are and that their kids don’t particularly think they are very funny. You know how it is, we tend to just be mom and dad in the eyes of our kids! Even if you are a well-known comedian and actor!

They spoke about how the movie emphasizes the importance of taking care of our planet and of those we love. Will spoke about how even though voiceover work is done in a studio, it can get pretty physical in that to get the sounds he needs, sometimes he is reaching up to the sky and going through the motions of climbing a wall to get what he needs for that particular scene. Basically, voiceover work can get pretty physical! They all spoke about how much fun it was working on the film and that they hoped we all enjoyed it.
