From pastels to bright colors to sequins and fringe, you can mix and match this spring and look great!  Dressing for a night on the town with your girlfriends or for a day-to-day look – these trends are some of our favorites styles, colors and prints to work with!  You don’t need to be a fashion model or wear a size 2 or spend thousands to look and feel fabulous darling!  That comes from within, but I know that I always feel better if a spend a little extra time and head out the door knowing I made the effort to feel and look good.  Do it for yourselves friends – you deserve it.

Sequins & Sparkles

I absolutely love that sequins and sparkle continue to be be trendy this spring and summer.  From Tom Ford and Marc Jacobs to Versace, you could find sequins at the Fashion Week runways. Image courtesy of Harpers Bazaar/Getty Images.

Bailey 44 sequined top with AG skinny jeans – great for date night or girls night out!

This Bailey 44 top is super versatile and can be dressed up or more casual with torn jeans.  Add a little sparkle into your wardrobe this spring!

Pastels

Pastels from lilac (SO big this springtime), lemon or duck egg blue are a great addition to your spring wardrobe.  If you are a little color-shy try wearing these sweet colors in unexpected ways like with a blue clutch or checkered yellow scarf.

Sheer

Don’t despair if you don’t think you can pull this look off – remember you can always wear something underneath it (but of course) that will allow the cute sheer top or dress to come through but think about layering this look. Image courtesy of Vogue / Getty Images.

Love the idea of wearing a sheer kimono over a dress!  Image found on Pinterest.

Synthetic Rubber

Seems a little nutty I know, but plastic was all the rage at the Fashion Show runways!  I do have to say though this red plastic dress from Calvin Klein is gorgeous! Designers have brought plastic or synthetic rubber to a whole new level of chic!  If you prefer to add a little of this rather surprising trend into your spring and summer wardrobe, try a fun and colorful clutch or bag. Image courtesy of Harpers Bazaar / Getty Images.

Gianni Chiarini “GUM” PVC gingham bag – A Marshall’s find!

I found this sweet gingham PVC bag at our local Marshalls and absolutely LOVE it!  Find something similar on TheRealReal or Fashionphile site.

Bailey 44 skirt, Jeffrey Campbell shoes and Gianni Notaro bag (also a Marshall’s find!).

Ruching

Probably one of my favorite trends this spring and summer is ruching!  Besides looking fabulous on just about any body type – it is super comfy and allows you to show off your curves (yes, ladies show them off!) without having to worry about bumps or bulges.  Honestly, my go-to style anytime I feel the need to camouflage a bit.   One of my favorite brands, Bailey 44, is all about offering ladies ruching options!

Asymmetrical Neckline

Another favorite trend of mine is the asymmetrical neckline. Seen at Altuzarra, Isabel Marant, and Prabal Gurung, this off-balanced neckline dances along your shoulder, hides – I mean wraps around your neck, and lays on your collar bone. All at the same time!  One of the most flattering looks going on this season – get ready ladies for the asymmetrical neckline.

White Suiting

If a white suits reminds of you of Travolta in Staying Alive you are not alone!  But a white blazer can look so fresh and clean clean! I opted to wear mine over a black top and pants but if you are so daring – I say go with the white ensemble!

Polka Dots

You all probably know about my obsession (yes, we can call it that) with polka dots and was thrilled to hear they had their day at the Fashion Show runways!  Most notably in a monochrome colorway but polka dots period are just about as happy a print as you can find!  Have some fun with this one ladies!  Image courtesy of Pop Sugar.

Which is your favorite spring/summer trend?
