“TEEN TITANS GO! TO THE MOVIES” is coming to theaters on July 27th.

This movie is so rad – with so many super heroes – that it must be seen on the BIG screen.

Our family had a chance to check out the “TEEN TITANS GO! TO THE MOVIES” at the Warner Bros. Studio Lot a few weeks ago and we had a great time.  My daughter has been a fan of Teen Titans Go series for a couple years now so when we heard that Warner Bros came out with a movie showcasing this hilarious crew we were super excited.  Are your kids big fans of Teen Titans?
TEEN TITANS GO! TO THE MOVIES finds the egocentric, wildly satiric Super Heroes in their first feature film extravaganza—a fresh, gleefully clever, kid-appropriately crass and tongue-in-cheek play on the superhero genre, complete with musical numbers. It seems to the Teens that all the major superheroes out there are starring in their own movies—everyone but the Teen Titans, that is!
But de facto leader Robin is determined to remedy the situation and be seen as a star instead of a sidekick.  If only they could get the hottest Hollywood film director to notice them.  With a few madcap ideas and a song in their heart, the Teen Titans head to Tinsel Town, certain to pull off their dream.
But when the group is radically misdirected by a seriously Super-Villain and his maniacal plan to take over the Earth, things really go awry.  The team finds their friendship and their fighting spirit failing, putting the very fate of the Teen Titans themselves on the line!
Rated PG for action and rude humor.

The movie is really entertaining and seriously clever writing throughout.   I feel like in many of these kid movies, the crude humor goes over the younger kids heads but is appreciated by the adults and older kids.  And it isn’t anything that you would be concerned to have your younger children hear.  I like how this movie assumes kids are smart and doesn’t “dumb down” the script or storytelling.  We were laughing throughout the movie – the big kids (my husband and I) and my daughter alike.
Warner Bros. went all out and had the entire cast at the TEEN TITANS GO! TO THE MOVIES prescreening party and activities for the kids.
Kate was really excited to meet the voice of Raven as that is her favorite character.

And see my Facebook Live interview with Beast Boy here, voiced by the hilarious Greg Cipes.  His voice is quite dreamy and I almost melted when he said “hey mama” in the Beast Boy voice when I came up to introduce myself.  He’s a character and super talented as is the rest of the voice actors, Scott Menville, Khary Payton, Hynden Walch, Kevin Michael Richardson, Lauren Tom Kate Micucci, Jeff Bennett and Ricky Jay.
Be sure to take the kids this weekend and check out  “TEEN TITANS GO! TO THE MOVIES”
