Polka Dots

You probably know by now about my polka dot obsession!  It’s a real thing people!  They are timeless, always look chic and just plain FUN, I can’t help but fall in love with this adorable polka dot top and skirt by Burberry.  Shown during Vogue’s Spring Fashion Show, this outfit adds a little twist with the imperfect (yet perfect) spots.  Shop outfits here:

Neon

Love how fashion trends come back around.  Neon was big in the 80’s and now 80’s music, fashion and jewelry is getting it’s due.  Neon pieces can be fun to wear, start slowly if you think this is a bit much for you.  Try some Lucite bracelets with your all black outfit.  Add some pops of color, you won’t regret it.  Shop similar outfits here:

I have this dress in black and love it! It can be worn day or night!

Shimmer

Sequins – in all manner – were big this past winter and continue to be into spring and summer.  With a twist, we are seeing sequins in different shapes like this cute rectangle dress from Jasper Conran.  Shop similar outfits here:

Neutrals

Monochrome neutrals are hot this spring.  A head to toe monochrome look can be slimming! Like this gorgeous outfit by Brandon Maxwell.

Mixed Patterns

I think this is one of my favorite trends this season.  Done right, mixing patterns can look so darn chic!  I’d stick to similar color palettes but don’t be afraid to mix stripes with dots, or a scarf-pattern with stripes or dots like this adorable outfit from J.Crew!
