What’s Hot in Southern California :: LEGOLAND Holiday Snow Days

A few months back we visited LEGOLAND California and had a chance to stay in the LEGOLAND Resort Hotel.  This was part of the promotion I was doing with my children’s book, Penelope the Purple Pirate, and Talk Like a Pirate Day which is September 19th.  Let me just say that my daughter is still talking about our trip and experience and wants to know when we are going back!

We requested a pirate room that was filled with LEGO’s made into pirate-themed displays.  Loved this guy who was your official greeter getting off the elevators that – by the way – had a disco ball in it. When you push the button, it is a dance party inside with music and all!  This was one of the highlights of the trip for my daughter!

LEGOLAND Holiday Snow Days:

Well, LEGOLAND is having a Holiday Snow Days event until December 31st!  We just might have to plan a visit this holiday season as they have a fun of ton of holiday activities for families to enjoy. There are characters walking around the park like these two:

There be snow in these parts!

New this year, is a more spacious snow area that is separated into two areas – one for the younger children and one for older kids (36″ and over). I love how they brought in snow for some tubing so even if you are enjoying our perfect 70 degree weather, you can bundle up and enjoy some snow this wintery season at LEGOLAND! And there are a ton of holiday-themed LEGO’s built around the park you can enjoy and take pictures with!

For the rest of the month, on Saturdays between 5pm to 7pm they are hosting a Winter Nights event.  I am sure it is quite gorgeous throughout the park and you can enjoy the lights and see these illuminated nutcrackers smiling back at you:
