Knott’s Spooky Farm : Fun for the Whole Family!

Last weekend we had a chance to check out the new Knott’s Spooky Farm and loved every minute of it.  Going on every weekend for the month of October, Knott’s Spooky Farm is a daytime event and a non-scary celebration of cheer rather than fear with shows and activities all geared for kids ages 3-11. There are a ton of Halloween activities for kids throughout the park. Kids can take part in “Snoopy’s Costume Contest and Dance Party” and also visit the Camp Spooky Theatre to view “The Monsters are Coming, Charlie Brown”, a new Halloween show where everyone will be singing and dancing in the aisles to all their favorite Halloween tunes.

Kids of all ages can join in the fun with spooky karaoke and mask making at the “Monster Masquerade Ball Karaoke” or go Trick-or-Treating at Ghost Town where friendly ghosts deliver delicious treats. You can bring your bag or use the one that is given to you as your walk in the park.  At the “Spooky Hollow Maze” kids will travel through a spooky forest with gigantic jack-o-lanterns and encounter a headless horseman! Yikes!

We had fun visiting Pepper Patty’s Candy Shop in Camp Snoopy and my daughter would have loved to have eaten the whole wall of cotton candy if I had let her!

We then headed to Charlie Brown’s Kite Flyer which all the kids all loved.  I was happy sitting back and watching her go round and round!  But big kids can ride it too!  All of the rides in Camp Snoopy are geared towards children ages 3 to 11.

Next stop was winning some fun Halloween prizes at Woodstock’s Birdbath.  This is a simple game of luck.  You turn over a rubber duck that is floating around Woodstock’s birdbath (too cute) that has either a 1, 3, or 5 written on the bottom and depending on the number (the higher the number, the better) depends on what size prize you win.  But everyone wins a prize which is a good thing for tired kids.

We then headed into Ghost Town and stopped off at a couple of the trick-or-treating booths.  Look for the signs as I believe there are six stops for the kids to trick-or-treat from friendly ghosts.  They can be adventurous and ask for a trick instead of a treat and see what spooky trick they might have for them!  We weren’t so brave!

Throughout the park you will see signs of Halloween everywhere.  From gorgeously dressed skeletons (isn’t she pretty?) to spiders crawling up the walls, there is lots to see and do this Halloween season at Knott’s Spooky Farm.
