Tips for Throwing an Awards Show Party!

Throwing an awards show party? Does your family like to watch awards shows and cheer for your favorite actor and movie?  Each year we try to watch the movies that are up for an award so we can weigh in on our opinion, especially the family-friendly movies.

Here are some tips for throwing an Awards Show Party this month.  With some creative ideas it won’t take long to put together. We have some ideas to make the party  family-friendly so the kids can enjoy the awards show with you!

Bring out the bubbly and juice boxes!

I like to put our drinks in this pretty pewter bowl I inherited from my grandmother.  She had the same fascination I have for Pewter and it is one of my favorite things I own!  Add some ice, juice boxes for the kids and you are set!

Everyone gets to vote for their favorites:

To make this more family-friendly, I used some of my daughter’s markers, silver bucket and some thick cardstock.  Everyone can write down their favorites at the beginning of the awards show and see who gets the most!  Maybe put together a gift bag for the winner!

DIY Party Props:

Now, these are pretty easy to make but I have to admit I found them at our local discount store.  Check out my Pinterest Board for some links to DIY Party Props. These are really a fun addition to any type of party and can be used for years.

What’s a Party without Popcorn?!

It is always a good idea to have some yummy treats for your awards show party!  I like to make popcorn and use these fun paper containers you can find at your local supermarket.

I am not kidding when I say I think Bounty makes the best paper products!  I even used them for a simple utensil kit for my daughter to use.  They are super durable and just wrap some twine around the paper towel, add some utensils, paper straw and you are set.
