Beloved cartoon aardvark Arthur Read is celebrating his 20th anniversary this October!

Are your kids a fan of the beloved cartoon aardvark Arthur Read?    Well, he is celebrating his 20^th anniversary this month. Holding the title of TV’s longest-running children’s animated series, Arthur kicks off season 20 on Monday, October 10^th, with new episodes that give us a glimpse into the “Past, Present, and Future” of their favorite characters. Especially noteworthy is the new episode titled “Cereal,” in which Buster launches a podcast to uncover the truth about a missing cereal box – a nod to the popular “Serial” podcast series.

This Emmy and Peabody award-winning PBS Kids series is beloved by many and had over 161 million website visits from 2008 thru 2016 and boasts 7 million viewers per month for the 2015-2016 season.

Over the years, Arthur characters have taken on emotional topics, such as bullying, cancer, and autism, and have helped kids learn the important socio-emotional skills they need to navigate through life. This fall, Arthur will continue to provide adults with kid-friendly resources like the Arthur Family Health Website—a guide for caregivers to help children build and maintain healthy living habits. A wealth of games, lesson plans, videos and activities are also available on PBSKids.org.
