Boots 101 :: How to Wear Boots this Fall Season

Long and Lean:

I use to think being so short (barely 5’3) that I couldn’t pull these long boots off, but I am hear to tell you (quoting Prince here) that short or tall, these long boots look fabulous on.  If I can pull it off so can you friends! Throw on some tight(er) jeans, a long sweater and colorful scarf and you are set for the day.  Comfy and cute!  My two favorite words when describing mom fashionistas!  Image courtesy of Bloglovin.

Buckle Love:

These “Pop Heights High Boots” can be found online at JCPenny (they have been coming out with some really cute designs lately!) and I love the buckles!  Plus the heel isn’t too high so you can wear them all day long!  Great for casual Friday at work or running after the kids all day long – these look really comfy and stylish.  Boots can be found at JCPenny

Suede Anything!

I have always been such a sucker for suede.  And now we are seeing suede come back in a big way with boots and bags.  Love this color as it will go with just about anything.  This adorable fashion blogger found these at the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale but you can find them at any local discount store like Marshalls or TJ Maxx!  Happy boot hunting! Lots of cute outfits ideas and this image courtesy of Southern Curls & Pearls (she’s adorable!).

Leather Booties:

I picked up some awesome (yes, awesome) leather booties at our local resale boutique for a fraction of the retail price and wear them with everything!  This length looks amazing with pants that show off a bit of ankle.  It is an easy sew job or take it to your local seamstress.  I really like this look and it looks great on everyone – tall or short!  Personally, not a fan of all-white (tho she looks great!) I would opt to go with all black which I think most of us gals have plenty of black in our closets! Image courtesy of Watcha Buy.

Riding Boots:

LOVE these boots from Free People.  They have the best shoes!  Wear these with some cute tights and t-shirt dress and you are set!  And the best thing about this type of leather is that it just looks better with age don’t you think?  Image found on Pinterest.

I found a pair of brand-new riding boots just like these at our resale boutique in town.  Be sure to check at your local discounted store for some great deals on riding boots which in my opinion really never go out of style!  These were sold on Shoeline.com but this style can be found just about anywhere.

So whether you decide to go with some booties and wear them with shortened tight pants or rolled-up to riding boots with fun tights, boots are a great staple to have in your closet.  And if you find quality ones you can wear them through several seasons!  Enjoy!
