Roam and Wander: Toys for Little Readers
Today’s post is brought to you by Roam and Wander. DiDi: iPad Powered Teddy Bear for Little Readers: I recently received the DiDi Teddy Bear (soft and plush it sits up with no problem plus has a teddy bear face without the iPad inserted ~ and my daughter loves “him” just as much without the iPad which is great) from Roam and Wander. DiDi utilizes your iPad (iOS 6 or higher) with an app created just for this cute teddy bear. IF … An Emotional-Intelligence Game for Kids on the iPad
IF… One of the most innovative games around! Right now, I’m so excited! I haven’t been this excited about a video game much less one for the iPad well, in forever?! This new, innovative, subscription-based iPad adventure game is geared toward children ages six (6) to 12. It’s from the founder of Electronic Arts (EA) and THE creative force behind EA Sports: Trip Hawkins (he was also one of the early executives at Apple/led Digital Chocolate to a massive amount of mobile downloads; he’s also won a plethora of awards AND he’s the first and only business executive named to the game industry Hall of Fame by the Academy of Interactive Arts…

Tech :: CordCruncher Earbud Headphones
I recently had the opportunity to try out a pair of CordCruncher Earbud Headphones (the moniker being they “do not TANGLE”)! I have never been so excited in my life about ear bud headphones. I am the world’s worst and I strongly animate the word WORST when it comes to getting cords for my headphones into a tangled mess – a hot tangled mess I should add. When my *pink* CordCruncher Earbud Headphones arrived I had this huge smile on my face. It was like someone had just given me tickets to a theme-park with a gift card! I pulled them out of their easy packaging and my daughter stopped…

Recently, I was looking for some clever stocking stuffers for some family members and friends. What I ran across gave me pause. It was innovative and I read about it and looked at it (online) and after looking at all their products I decided to contact this company. What happened was my mind stopped thinking about stocking stuffers and started thinking about some of the things I do as a woman, a mother – while out and about (shopping not just this time of the year or going places with the kids or alone) and the type of things I do at home.This is about security. Personal security. Safety. As…

Tech :: Gift Ideas for the Tech Dad
Some super cool gadgets for the men in our lives who have everything this Father’s Day (and beyond). That’s right mama’s, move over and get ready to let Dad/Brother/Father/Uncle [et al] become “King for the Day” where they can relax and have you wait on them hand and foot and even fan them while eating grapes (I jest; however, that sounds like a LOT of their days *lol*)! Seriously though, here’s some little sumtin’s that may be nifty enough to give the man/men in your life who say they have everything they need (or seriously DO have everything) that you wouldn’t find at your local square box store. …

“Intense love does not measure, it just gives.” ~Mother Teresa In Columbia, South Carolina there is a family with three children. Davis, age 11; Julia, age 9 and William, age 6. In October of 2012, the Hickson family participated in the UMDF Energy For Life Walk (Charlotte). They did the walk as a family in support of one another and most importantly for their son, William. During his six years he has already undergone six (6) surgeries, from hip surgeries (both) to Nissen fundoplication surgery (two different occasions) as well as a biopsy to confirm his mitochondrial disease.…
