My Little Pony Equestria Girls: Rainbow Rocks Coming to Theaters this Weekend
My husband is probably not going to be too happy that I am sharing this with you all… but he and my daughter watch My Little Pony just about every other night. It is so funny watching them and hear them conversing about the show, the characters and the powers each little pony has. He could easily cite all of their names AND what their special powers are. It is so funny and I was surprised to hear them talking back and forth in all seriousness about certain stories. I do love My Little Pony because it teaches kids about friendship, about what it means to be a good friend…

Instagram Inspiration :: The Wonder of the Dragonfly
Last night my daughter and I were walking out our front door when we saw a rather large insect flying around our porch light. When we realized it was a dragonfly, I was a bit surprised as I have never seen one flying around at nighttime. So of course, this sent us on a quest to find out more about dragonflies. I love when nature inspires us to learn more about the creatures that share our planet with us and we spent the evening on Google learning about them! After much discussion we decided to call him (or her) Daphne. Though my daughter wanted to call him Gingivitis the Dragonfly. Funny…

SafeFARE Aims to Make Dining Out Safer for those with Food Allergies
When my daughter was six months old, she started to get really bad eczema on her neck down to her thighs. It was so bad I would get looks from other moms who I imagined were thinking what was I doing or not doing to help her! It took months to figure out what her allergens were, so I know firsthand how frustrating it can be trying to figure out what foods one has avoid. We ended up going to see Dr. Weinand of Neurowaves after her pediatrician, Dr. Bob Sears, recommended we give his alternative treatment a chance. And I must say it worked! After about ten treatments of this rather interesting technology, her eczema went away and to this day…

Screen Madness and Your Kids: A Parental Guide to Limiting Electronics Use
Screen Madness & Your Kids: A Parental Guide to Limiting Electronics Use Maybe your kids start gaming as soon as they get home from school. Or maybe they just never look up from their phones—they’re texting and surfing from after dinner until they go to bed, and then they start again from under the covers. Sound familiar? From gaming consoles and cell phones to computers and tablets and back again, kids spend too much time in front of a screen. A Harris Interactive study found that kids ages 8-18 spend an average of 44.5 hours per week in front of various screens. That’s more than a…
