Play :: Time to Embrace Your Inner Rock Star
As the school year draws to a close, school plays and spring musicals are just around the corner. Whether you were Sandy in your high school’s adaptation of Grease or have two left feet and sing off-key (we’re not judging!), Netflix has has some titles that will get you and your kids singing along to some popular show tunes. If you are like most people who grew up watching Grease, you probably know the words to most of the songs from the movie! My husband and I joke around and sing songs all the time from Grease – especially that scene in the garage where the high schoolers are…

Stuck On You :: Worlds Favorite Labeling and Gift Company
Can you believe it is almost summer? Time for summer camp and sleepovers at friends or grandma’s house. Recently, we were treated to a very cool overnight and sports bag from Stuck On You to try out. I really like this company’s products for several reasons. Their latest Penny Scallan Design lunchboxes are just perfect for school and camp because they are made with a material that makes it for easy clean-up. The inside material is insulated so it helps keep the food cool. And the sports bag is going to be perfect for sleepovers at her grandparents, soccer and any other occasion that calls for a duffle bag. There…

Spotlight On :: The Movie “Moms’ Night Out” Delivers!
“I laughed, I cried, and I found myself feeling affirmed. If you’re a mom, you need to see this movie!” ~ Jill Savage, CEO Hearts at Home, Author, No More Perfect Moms In early March I had a chance to preview Moms’ Night Out with a good friend at The Irvine Spectrum. I didn’t really know what to expect but within a few minutes of the beginning of the movie, my friend and I were laughing hysterically – and this continued on throughout the movie. Moms Night Out features four friends who decide they need to have a night out together. The plan is to get dressed up,…

Dandelion Moms Project Kindness for May :: Honoring Ryan
Today I read about a family who is going through every parents worse nightmare. A fellow mom blogger (@babyboybakery) lost her beautiful son this past Friday night in a senseless accident. You can read more about it here but from what I gather, 3 1/2 year old Ryan was playing Frisbee in front of a relative’s house and ran into the street chasing after it. A truck was driving by at that moment and a horrible accident happened in a blink of an eye. Jacqui and her husband are having to go through what no parent should go through. It is senseless and just so sad. I wanted to…

The Tooth Fairy
Image courtesy of Flickr The summer of 2010 was a busy summer for my youngest son Hayden. It was a summer filled with many firsts. He learned how to ride his two-wheel bike—without the training wheels. He learned how to swim in the deep end—without a life jacket. He learned how to blow a bubble (bubble gum). He learned how to whistle. He lost his first, and second, baby teeth. Considering how animated and energized Hayden was—and still is—most of the time, he is also a very relaxed, go-with-the-flow kind of child. That summer, while we were visiting with friends in Montreal, the kids were eating corn on…

The Amazon Kindle Fire HDX Tablet Makes a Perfect Gift
Image courtesy of xda developers Amazon recently released the Kindle Fire HDX 7.0 and 8.9 Tablets and we had a chance to review the new 8.9 tablet and I must say it was love at first sight. There are so many new features on their latest device that really makes it one powerhouse tablet! One of my favorite new additions is the front-facing HD camera. Now I can use it at conferences or when I am out-and-about – I can take pictures or videos and use them in posts or share with friends and family. For Mother’s Day, my husband promised a keyboard so that I can use it in place of…
