“It isn’t about finding glasses that look good, it is about finding glasses that look good on you.” ~glasses.com The incredible glasses.com app features 3Dfit technology and is changing the eyewear shopping experience with a smarter, simpler way to buy glasses – making it fun to find the right pair for you. I had a chance to try out this app and I must tell you I am sold! What an innovative way to try on glasses! Latest & Greatest :: The Nut Job by Cupcake Digital
I can’t wait to see The Nut Job with my daughter next week. One of our favorite mother-daughter activities is to check out the latest (children) movie releases and this movie looks really fun! App developer Cupcake Digital has recently released The Nut Job app that includes a story, games, coloring pages and even a trailer for the movie. The graphics are straight from the movie and are crystal clear. The story starts off with Surly Squirrel overlooking the city from atop a tree in Liberty Park. He is so surly that his only friend is a rat named Buddy. You can turn on or off the music and the story…

Reflections :: Appreciation Day
I made up a brand new holiday last week. Throughout this coming year, I’ve decided I will celebrate “Appreciation Day” on the fifteenth of every month. It is the one day of the month that I am committed to “tending myself”, to treating myself with what we therapists call unconditional positive regard. In depth psychology there is a primary understanding of…

Fashion :: Golden Globes 2014
Award season is upon us and it is a big deal in my house…for me. It is what football is to my husband. The Golden Globes are like the playoffs and the the Oscars are the Super bowl. My favorite part has to be the arrival of actors on the red carpet. I think I may even prefer it more than the actual award show. I am always so excited to see what my favorite designers have put together for the actors. The dresses they are wearing are not just any dresses. Some of them have been specifically created by the designer with that person in mind. They are usually…

Laura Wallis: Web Navigator Gal
I recently had the pleasure of connecting with Laura Wallis in an online networking group. We became acquainted and it was quickly evident that she was a wealth on knowledge about business, marketing, and the internet. She’s also friendly and super-relatable! I thought it only fair to introduce her to other working moms. How and why did you come to be the Web Navigator Gal? I worked for many years in corporate marketing- Disney, Mattel, Fox International, and Sony. I loved my work and traveled a great deal, but worked very long hours. When I became pregnant with my first child, I had everything set up to…
