Uncovering Your Home Decor Style
One of the most common situations I encounter when I first meet with a client is intimidation over deciding on an interior decorating style. Quite frequently I hear the following words uttered within moments of my arrival, “I’m so overwhelmed by all the styles out there; I love everything. So how will I ever decide?” This will be the most challenging hurdle to overcome when taking on the prospect of renovating or decorating your home. I have a few tips to help work thru the “I love everything but can’t decide on anything” phase and move forward to the “AHA” moment. Hunt for inspiration. Start with…

Yummy Gluten-Free Chicken Nuggets For Football Season
Are you ready for a yummy half-time treat? How about some gluten-free chicken nuggets that will have the whole team asking for more? Cooking without regular flour can get a little tricky, and sometimes I have to try a recipe over and over to get it to work out. Seek out lower cost options for your “Needs”. Try bundling services for discounts. Many cable companies offer discounts for combined cell phone, land line, internet and television. You can also get great discounts on your insurance by getting multiple policies with one company. I have been with…

Artist/Illustrator Carolyn Le
One of my favorite things to do with my daughter is to go into the local bookstore and look at all of the beautifully illustrated children’s books. There is something quite magical about sitting down and opening up a fresh-off-the-press book with your child and reading through it together. I am drawn to many types of illustrations – I wouldn’t say I have one style I favor over another as I think it really depends on if the illustrations can make you smile, laugh, and even cry. I came across Carolyn Le’s work at a local Society for Children’s Book Writers and Illustrators (SCBWI) function about three years ago. …
