Skylanders SWAP Force Game – A Review
My brother and I use to spend hours playing on the Atari console and play PONG. Do you remember how that was the hottest game around in the early 80’s? We would spend the whole afternoon playing this simple game but had a blast. Especially when the game would go on for a bit and the pong would go faster and faster until it went so fast you couldn’t keep up your match. That is when it got really exciting! In case you don’t remember what PONG looked like – here is what the screen looked like (primitive isn’t it?). It was a hit with the kids and actually quite fun! …

4 Important Tips for Enjoying the Holidays
The holidays can be loaded, it’s true. It’s that potentially chaotic time of doing the make-sure-everything-looks-good-and-gets-done rounds. Pile the added traveling/visiting/gift-giving responsibilities on top of the guarantee of nostalgia, and it’s no wonder some people wish they could skip December. If that isn’t you, horaay! The following will only enhance your already special time. Here are tips for enjoying the holidays without bankrupting your peace and happiness. Embrace Nostalgia. The holidays bring memories, it is unavoidable. But you are the writer of your own story. If holiday nostalgia has traditionally been a struggle, you have permission to rewrite. Start new traditions. Dandelion Moms Project Kindness Joins #Giving Tuesday in December
I first heard about #Giving Tuesday from the crew over at Mom It Forward. #GivingTuesday is a day for giving thanks. Just find a way for your family, your community, your company or your organization to come together to give something more. Then tell everyone you can about how you are giving. Be a part of a national celebration of our great tradition of generosity. There are 5 Giving Tuesdays this month so join in and help out where needed in your community. Join us…

Dwell :: Decorating a Small Space for the Holidays
In my last post I mentioned that this year we won’t be getting a tree because it will not last more than a few minutes with our 85 pound 8 month old German Shepherd mix puppy! These days I find him chewing on anything – which includes our cat, so I think we made a wise choice to not get a large tree this year. However, I am a bit sad about it so I am looking for other ways to decorate our place for the holidays. I love this time of year and it makes me so happy to have the fireplace on, the candles and tree lit. Here are some ideas if you…

Inspirational Mom :: Holly Hamann of Tap Influence
About four months ago I came across a video where Holly Hamann and Rustin Banks were talking about how important it is to tap your influence in the marketplace. As I am fairly new to the whole mommy blogging sphere, I have been attempting to learn as much as I can so that I can provide quality content for our wonderful dandelion moms while working with companies I feel our audience would like to learn more about. Rustin and Holly were pretty dynamic on the video and since then I have been an active follower of the Tap Influence network. In fact, Forbes Magazine recently named Rustin as a…

DIY Christmas Craft & Decor Ideas
This year might be the first time in a long time we won’t be getting a Christmas tree. I just don’t think it would be a good idea since our 8 month old puppy is still chewing everything in sight and he will probably think the tree, ornaments and presents are just for him to eat and destroy. So I am planning on making some other holiday crafts that we can make to celebrate the season and put up and away from prying puppy eyes. Hope you enjoy these holiday ideas as well! Felt Ball Garland: I have been seeing these felt balls everywhere and love how…
