Written by Cassidy Murray “We are not makers of history, we are made by history.” Martin Luther King Jr. Throughout time there have been countless inspiring women who have shaped the course of history. Through their brave acts and fearless persistence, they proved to the world that women are awesome leaders. And although there are innumerable women who I could address, some of the first and most astonishing women to influence the world were found in antiquity, particularly in ancient Egypt. These were women who made concrete changes in the past which influenced and evolved culture as we know it today. These leading women became striking examples and influencers for centuries…

Disney’s CHRISTOPHER ROBIN out in theaters August 3rd.
Winnie the Pooh is one of my favorite all-time characters. There is just something so sweet and endearing about him and his friends. Heck, even The Tao of Pooh is one of my favorite books. I even used A.A. Milne’s idea of having the stuffed animals in Christopher Robin’s bedroom stacked around his bed in my first children’s book, Penelope the Purple Pirate! In the first and last scene in the book you will find Penelope’s friends hanging around her bedroom. Hey, when someone has a good idea… And A.A. Milne has created on of the most timeless and endearing characters of all time! I am super excited that…

Dandelion Moms Project Kindness :: Helping an Autism Center
Dandelion Moms Project Kindness was created in order to support local, national and even worldwide organizations. A few years back our community sent a small town in the Dominican Republic over 250 books so they could open up a town library. Together, we helped raised over 300 Project Night Night tote bags that were given out to children in shelters across the country and supported the #LikeAGirl campaign that empowers young girls. These are just some of the organizations that that our community has helped and it is something that is dear to my heart. This month I was asked by a long-time dandelion mom if our community could help…

TRA-LA-LAAAA! So excited! We absolutely love these books and I have to say as a mom of a reluctant reader that the Captain Underpants book series really helped my daughter become more interested in reading. Hurray for books like these that help with our reluctant readers! Fans of Captain Underpants – hold tight and get ready for…
