The Littlest Inventor Author Takes On Autism ‘Acceptance’
Mandi Mathis was introduced to the world of autism while running through the grocery store at a full sprint with her youngest son, Sawyer, tucked under her arm like a football while he was screaming at the top of his lungs. What she didn’t know then was that he was experiencing sensory overload. Mandi is a practicing attorney so research, planning, and advocating come natural to her. Soon after her son received a diagnosis of Aspergers Syndrome and Sensory Processing Disorder, Mandi became a champion for those on the autism spectrum. The Animation Research Library Conserves Walt Disney Animation Studios Artistic Heritage
Last month I had a chance to to visit the Animation Research Library (ARL), formerly known as the Studio Morgue. The ARL is entrusted to conserve and protect the artistic heritage of Walt Disney Animation Studios and to ensure the ability of the Walt Disney Company to utilize the collection, “in-house,” as a resource of creative inspiration, brand enhancement, and product development. I was so excited to meet JB Kaufman, film historian and author of several books including PINCOCCHIO The Making of the Disney Epic (see giveaway below!).
