DIY: Scarecrow on a Stick
My son and I love to do these types of crafts. The arms and legs can move into fun poses and it’s on a stick so you can ‘plant’ them everywhere. The scarecrow is a favorite for our fall decor. You can find him between apples and pumpkins or pretty fall leaves. I have a pattern ready for you to download, print and color. You can add googly eyes, yarn for hair – be creative! Basic Scarecrow: You will need: 4 Brass Prong Paper File Fasteners card stock to print on scissors clear tape a stick markers, crayons, pencils Print out the Scarecrow template. Programming and Science Projects that Promote Learning
Have your kids started school back up this week or last week? Did you have tears of sadness or a little bit of joy that you have some free time on your hands? I think I had a little of both. I enjoy the summer break with my daughter and love to head off to the beach or movies any time during the week. But as I work out of the home, finding a balance can be quite challenging. Shaun the Sheep Review, Craft Ideas and Giveaway
Lately my daughter has been very interested in making stop-motion videos. She has been using her Minecraft characters to make these short clips using the LEGO Video App. I’ll have to post one of her video’s! When we heard that the stop-motion animated television series Shaun the Sheep was coming out with a movie we couldn’t wait to go see it! The British series features Shaun and is a spin-off of the Wallace and Gromit franchise. After school on Friday we headed to our favorite local theater and watched it. …

Ideas for a Dragon-themed Party!
A few years back when the previews were showing for the new How to Train Your Dragon movie my daughter and I couldn’t wait to see it! We even hosted a dragon-themed birthday party the year the first movie came out and have some fun ideas you can use for your next party. This past month, Netflix aired their original series Dragons: Race to the Edge and introduces some of the most exciting dragons yet, each with its own amazing abilities — shock waves, cannon balls and fire blasts, just to name a few. With the magical Dragon Eye, an artifact Hiccup finds aboard an abandoned ship, Hiccup learns there is more outside the confines of Berk, and that…

Create an Art Journal
I love how coloring is bringing so much joy to people. From children to grown ups. Everyone has the potential to be creative. To color is a stress reliever. You pick colors that make you happy and without thinking you just add color with markers or pencils or even paint to a picture that you like. Fun right? In my world I am always coloring and drawing. I cannot imagine a day without artmaking, a day without color. This is how I unwind and de-stress. I often end my day with drawing, coloring and painting in my art journal. Have fun with this page! Use any materials you like,…
